My significant other and I visited this restaurant on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at about 2:30pm. We walked in and milled around for about three minutes (passing in front of several workers, as we must've looked lost) before finally finding a sign with instructions to seat ourselves. Finally we sat down and waited for another 15 minutes before getting our drink order taken. Another 10 minutes, and she finally brings the drinks. At this point, we already knew what we wanted to order, but the server just sat down the drinks and walked away. Cue another 10 minutes before getting her to come back. The pizza cook time itself wasn't that long, we could see them making it from where we were sitting, but it sat there for a few minutes before the server brought it to us. It was lukewarm when we got it.
The menu says fresh dough and fresh ingredients. They couldn't have been more incorrect. To start off with, the dough had a perfect, like I'm talking PERFECT, edge around it, and there were "holes" in the bottom of the dough like you get when you stick a frozen pizza in the oven. My SO and are big pizza buffs, and we are about 89% certain that was a frozen pizza. If it was not, then the dough, cheese, and sauce were very old, nowhere close to being fresh.
The ambiance gives off the "hole in the wall but it's delicious" vibe, but it did not live up to the expectation I had. This restaurant was very dimly lit, and the windows didn't help bring in the natural light, thus making the place seem twice as small as it actually is. There was a nasty film over the menu, food on the floor. As we walked in, I noticed the table behind us was empty with food and dishes on it. I chalked that up to them having just left. The table was still in that same condition even after we were done.
I might try it again in the future, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
The pizza itself was somewhat decent after we came to the conclusion it was frozen. 4.1 and 3.7 rating from us. One bite, everyone...
Read moreAmazing food, service (Alison is always our server, unless she's off for some reason-& because we're "regulars" & come in to eat every other Saturday afternoon & ALWAYS order the same thing-unless we have 1 or 2 more or less people than our usual- we always order the same drinks each -[example, my middle son & I always order Mello Yello, my oldest orders Dr. Pepper, etc] when she comes to greet us at our usual table, she's already got the breadsticks & sauce, everyone's drinks, of course the plates & silverware, & has already put our order in for our pizzas because she's awesome like that!), & the atmosphere is very relaxing & comfortable (occasionally there may be a loud child or even adult(s) in there as well, but that's something that can/does happen EVERYWHERE....NOT anything to hold against Little Joe's). If you've never tried this place, & you love pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, & many other Italian foods, plus salad & breadsticks all in a laid-back environment, you REALLY do need to give it try! It's not super cheap, but it's also not super expensive. For 6 of us, we usually spend about $60-65 (with tip). That price includes: 2 medium pizzas (one pepperoni & the other pepperoni and sausage), extra sauce for our breadsticks, 2 salad bars, a pitcher of Miller Lite beer, & 5 sodas. Of course the beer 🍺 is the most "expensive" item on our ticket, which is I think around $12-13 for a pitcher. I could be wrong about that tho. The point is, Little Joe's deserves 10 stars overall! We've been going there for probably around 20+ years & I can't remember 1 time of any of us ever being disappointed. If you're NOT satisfied with your food and service, I'm sure they will be more than happy to accommodate you in a...
Read moreThis is a review of not just their delicious pizza but also of their kindness. We were looking for a place to park our RV we live in full time because we were feeling feverish and tired and noticed that this building seemed to be under construction. It was 11 AM and for a pizza place we thought OK maybe they're not in business. We figured this would be a good place to quarantine ourselves until we could move to a better location... Well 4 o'clock rolled around and a nice young lady named Veronica knocked on our door. After gearing ourselves up with masks and gloves we explained why we were in the parking lot. She was so sweet and offered to bring us a pizza. We accepted the offer as we didn't have a lot of choice as to what to eat. Later on the very sweet Veronica brought us most delicious ham pineapple pizza we have had in years. I liked that they cut their pizza in squares instead of slices.. I didn't need to add a thing to into it. Highly recommend this place. The next day still feeling lethargic and with malaise we ordered the same pizza and added jalapeños. It hit the spot. Scrumptious!!! Thank you so much. #theflamingorv...
