Stepping into Frozen Rooster felt like walking into a place that just got everything right. It was warm, aesthetic, and incredibly inviting, the kind of spot that makes you feel instantly at ease. It felt like I was about to sit down to a meal crafted with thought, care, and genuine passion. I started with the wings, and from the very first bite, I knew I was in for something special. Each wing was a perfect balance—crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. The flavors were bold, layered, and just… right. I could feel the love in each bite, that unmistakable touch of someone who truly cares about getting every detail perfect. The sauces were crafted with such precision, each one taking me on a little journey of its own, making it impossible not to savor every single bite. These wings didn’t just taste good; they had soul. Then came the catfish. It was lightly breaded and cooked to perfection, with a flaky, tender texture that almost melted in my mouth. Every bite was rich with flavor, and oddly enough, it reminded me of falling in love for the first time—unexpected, memorable, and leaving me smiling like a fool. There was a simplicity to it, yet a richness that kept me coming back for more, savoring each bite as if it was something to be cherished. I couldn’t help but feel a deep appreciation for this dish, a simple classic elevated to something truly memorable. And as if the meal hadn’t already won me over, it ended with the funnel cake. Light, airy, and just the right amount of sweetness—each bite was like a warm hug, the perfect balance of crispy and soft, with powdered sugar dusting the top like a kiss of nostalgia. This wasn’t just any dessert; it was the kind of funnel cake that takes you back, that makes you close your eyes and just enjoy the moment. It was the ideal ending, wrapping up a meal that left me feeling completely satisfied and yet somehow wanting to come back for more. What struck me most about Frozen Rooster was the genuine heart behind everything. It wasn’t just food on a plate; it was an experience, a reminder of why we gather to share meals, why food can be a source of comfort and connection. It’s a place that makes you feel like family, where every dish tells a story, and you’re left feeling like you were part of something meaningful. For anyone looking to rediscover the joy of a great meal, Frozen Rooster is a must. This is food made with love, and I left with a full stomach and a grateful heart, already counting down the days until I can come back.

Was in the area and in the mood for something good. After doing a Yelp search I stumbled across Frozen Rooster and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. The location sits towards the back of the plaza area so make sure you drive in past the first set of buildings. Once you get to the location there is ample parking which is a huge plus. Walking up to the building, it has a very historic look. You can tell this building has history which adds to the charm of the presentation. Walking in, the setup is the type where you place your order, get a number, then have a seat (if planning to eat in)… The young lady at the register was nice, however, it was apparent by her tone and body language that she didn’t want to be at work. LoL! My Order: 5 Whole Wings (Rooster Dry Rub) Cheese Fries add Jalapeños The wings were perfectly done. Not too small and not too big. The perfect crispness on the outside and moist on the inside. The Dry Rub wasn’t as flavorful as I hoped for. I honestly didn’t taste a distinct flavor at all. The wings tasted like regular wings, which isn’t a bad thing, yet, I was excited to experience the rub. The cheese fries were awesome. There’s something about a crispy fry, warm nacho cheese, and jalapeños. Oohhhhhhhhh. It put me in the mindset of high school. The combo also comes with Texas Toast. It’s not toasted but it’s a perfect pairing for the wings when you add hot sauce! Yasssssssssss. You know I had to add me some hot sauce. LoL!! Overall, this was a very stomach pleasing experience. If you’re in the area and looking for something good, stop by. I’ll definitely be back to try the fried whiting. #ChickOrTreat

Order on entry. Take your number to table and someone brings it to you if you’re eating there. Easy to read menu with all the fast food favorites. I’m already knowing they serve chicken by their name. I went catfish. Good price & portion & southern appearance. You can add whatever wing flavor they have to your fish-that’s cool. I added their dry rub. Delicious but salty. I ate it with their bread & fries but my wife thought it was too salty to finish. Okra great. Hot/fresh out the grease. Fish Has a farm raised, from frozen vibe. Cooked perfectly. Not many people inside. Fair fast food menu. TVs inside as well as a little alcohol bar area. Vibes could be improved but honestly it appears they’ve already done things to enhance the place. I always pass this place because I never know if it’s open as it sits a little back off the road. Next time I’d try the Whiting without any extra seasoning hoping that it won’t be salty and just right without the extra I added today. I’d recommend this place to stop by as nothing was bad just a bit salty. It’s not big restaurant, it’s fish and wing spot with a few extra’s of you’re looking for this type food.

We initially enjoyed our visit to Frozen Rooster due to good food and reasonable prices, but subsequent experiences were disappointing. On our second visit, we encountered a significant wait time for a pickup order, only to find out it had been sitting on the counter.

We gave them another chance but faced issues when trying to use a birthday coupon online. When we called to place the order (since we could not redeem the coupon online - take note of that, management), we were initially told we could redeem it in-store.

However, upon arrival, a manager with a negative attitude seemed reluctant and ultimately agreed to give us the free cookie, acting as if he was doing us a favor. We weren't seeking free cookies; we simply wanted them to understand 1: IT COULD NOT BE REDEEMED ONLINE & 2: YOUR EMPLOYEE TOLD US IT COULD BE REDEEMED IN STORE. Telling a customer , "Well, I'm the manager and there's nothing I can do about it" is terrible customer service - whether it truly cannot be redeemed in-store - there's a better way to communicate that with paying customers.

What did it for us beyond the cookie issue and stank attitude from the manager was that our order was left unattended on the counter AGAIN without any notification it was ours. Consistency, communication, and overall customer service need significant improvement.

Zaxby's, here we come!

EDITED TO ADD AFTER YOUR INACCURATE RESPONSE: It's a shame how unaware you are of the facts. He DID pay the moment he walked in. That was how the nonsense over the free "birthday cookie" redemption started - and even then after paying no one checked to see if his order was ready which resulted in it sitting on the counter for 20 min AGAIN. To say my husband was "pleased" is far fetched. The manager was visibly bothered to be pulled away from his conversation with two women at the bar to tend to a customer. He eventually 'gave in' as if doing him a favor to honor a coupon redemption - making my husband feel wrong for asking for a coupon to be honored. "Take to the internet" - this is a review to let others know of our experience with your establishment after not one, but TWO bad experiences. To bring awareness of a - if you're going to have an online only coupon redemption, make sure if CAN be redeemed online. This coupon could NOT. And b - provide the customer service you claim you want to provide, which means having a manager that doesn't treat a customer like their an inconvenience.

It's clear the customer is always wrong because in all of your responses to reviews that are dissatisfied with your business you...
