Tues, May 23rd, 2023 was not my first visit to the Fayetteville, WV location of LJS, but it very well may be my last. After placing my order using the Drive-thru speaker, I pulled up to the window and was greeted by a female employee that I had not previously seen at this restaurant, which isn't surprising given the high turnover rate for restaurant employees. After repeating the amount due, this particular employee who was not wearing a visible name tag, but said her name was "Teresa" when later asked (receipt indicates "Elizabeth C"), apparently thought it was a good idea to criticize my order by 1st stating "That sure is a lot of hush puppies" and then immediately following up with "Is you 'hoongry'?" (note that the spelling is my attempt to recreate the cynical way this employee slurred the word 'hungry' as if I was a hillbilly fresh on a rare trip to the big city).
Now while I do not have a degree in Restaurant Management/Hospitality, I can figure out that in order to keep a business open you need customers to spend money and the more they spend in each transaction the better. Apparently this particular employee doesn't know how a restaurant generates revenue in order to write her a paycheck, and instead thinks it's a good idea to insult regular customers so that they take their money and spend it elsewhere. Very unprofessional! I almost just told her to cancel my order and refund the charge to my credit card, but ultimately didn't. While I'm not sure if I'll be returning to this particular location of LJS, I can assure you that if I encounter "Teresa" on a future visit I'll be turning around and leaving...
   Read moreMy sister and I went to this location yesterday, she ordered her food and paid and then I paid behind her, I went and got my drink then my sister went behind me. We sat down then I went to the bathroom. When I came out my sister already had her food, my first thought was wow that was quick. Well i sit there and wait on my food while my sister is eating, 20 minutes later i still hadnât received my food so I went to the counter to ask what was going on. The girl was nice I donât think it was her fault cause she wasnât the one who took my order. But the reason for not having my food was âbecause they were waiting on fish and they wasnât sure who it went to.â I didnât ever receive my food because we couldnât wait any longer. They issued a refund that is going to take 3-5 business days ( which is bullshit ) because I didnât just return something I never received it. The girl was sweet she tried to make up for it and she did give me my side of cheese bites to take with me. Idk. I work in food and I know if we were waiting on something I would find the person to let them know. Not just sit and wait and hope the issue resolves. Paid 19 dollars for food just to not get it and then have to wait on my money to come back...
   Read moreLong John Silvers has been a joke amping my family for years because where I am from, all of them look like shacks and have had horrible service and quality lately, causing most of them to shutdown. My wife and I were driving through and saw on our map a Long John Silvers with over 4 stars and I thought wow, we should give it a try. I have not been in a long John silvers in years and my wife has never been in one. Our expectations were low, yet this place blew us away. The food was great, the service was great, and the restaurant is clean and taken care of. This is probably the best fast food experience Iâve had in years. I was blown away by this experience. The utmost respect to the employees and managers of this location, you are doing your job well! Maybe I will give a location near me...
