Worst service I have ever since from a fast food place! My family and I got there at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday the 21st, there were a lot of cars in line so we waited. When we second to the menu to order, the person in the car in front of us said something that caught my family and I's attention, "Are you open?" Then she drove away and my family's car pulled up and we did not get greeted by anyone on the speaker so we waited. Five minutes goes by and still nothing so I get out of the car to go a check to see if there is any cars at the windows being served: there weren't. I go back to the car and tell my family so my mother gets out of the car and goes to the employee door to ask if they are still open. Funny enough, the door is not even locked so my mom opens the door and shouts to get the people inside's attention by asking if they are closed because there are five cars out hear that have been waiting here since 6:30. My mom goes back to the car and all of the sudden, a brown haired male get out of the door and says 'were closed we put up a sign.' My mother replies to say once more, 'That people have been waiting since 6:30." This man decides to reply to my mother, who was speaking very calmly I might add, I'M SORRY YOU CAN'T READ B**TCH.' and goes and runs back in the restaurant. From the start of my drive thru order the woman was horrible to deal with, including when I asked about a chicken sandwich no longer being on the menu she responded with “well do you see it there?” So I ordered something else and asked for spicy papa sauce to be told that was a seasonal item & unavailable. When I pulled up to the window to pay I noticed a sign that labeled all of the available sauces, including spicy papa sauce & when I asked about it her response was “well you didn’t ask for it on the side.” I’m sorry aren’t you the employee, how am I supposed to know that I have to specifically ask for something in a certain way? She could have easily suggested it and asked if that would be ok. Walk inside to speak to a manager about how I’ve been spoken to only to be told that I have horrible customer service & that I am the reason the woman working the drive thru is having a horrible day. Funny because customer service is something you give to your CUSTOMERS, not the other way around. Read moreMy family and I recently stopped at this A&W for a quick meal. The food itself was very good—fresh, tasty, and exactly what you’d expect from A&W. The service was also quick, which is always appreciated, especially when you have hungry kids in tow.
However, one thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the dining area. Unfortunately, every single table we looked at was dirty when we arrived. There were crumbs, spills, and trash left behind from previous customers, and no staff member seemed to be addressing it at the time. I ended up having to grab napkins and clean a table myself before we could sit down and enjoy our food. While this isn’t the end of the world, it does take away from the overall dining experience, especially when you’re eating with family.
I understand that busy periods can make it difficult to keep up with cleaning, but keeping tables wiped down is important for both comfort and hygiene. If this location could improve in that area, it would really make a difference and probably bump my rating up by a star or two. I’d still consider coming back because the food and service were good, but I’d hope for a cleaner seating...
