Took my wife there for dinner was seated quickly nice!! but that was the only nice thing. Took over 30 min to get drinks then a Hour and 15 min. To get the food!! Ordered the seafood platter $30.00 one for my wife and one for myself also smelt appetizer $11.00 two cokes. Smelt was good but just like the main course not nearly enough!!! It was so small portions it look like a kids happy meal with extra fries . $87.00 dollars later walked out not feeling full. Will not go back and will not recommend any else . Saw your feedback. True on the food items forgot to say the size of items. Perch? I've had bigger school lunch fish sticks,. Frog legs? For me, it is the best-in-the-world smelt! Smelt is a favorite of mine and I have ordered it at countless restaurants after having fallen in love with the dish two decades ago at the original Frank's. Nothing has ever compared, and I am DELIGHTED to find the new Frank's has carried the tradition of its namesake. I was only minutes into my full-size order when I placed an order for an additional basket (which I also promptly ate). I'd love to see some additional fish options added or maybe a couple salads, but otherwise I wouldn't want them to change a thing....
Read moreWe visited on a Sunday afternoon in a party of three. The first thing we noticed was a very strong odor of varnish or paint which wasnât very appetizing. Our server tried to be helpful by apologizing every time she answered one of our questions, but service was slow and sub-par. We really liked the scallops but they needed more draining out of the fryer. There was a lot of grease on the plate. The cod and clams were good, as was the shrimp. It would be nice if the menu offered moreâcreate your ownâ combination platter options. We liked the onion rings but were surprised to learn that hush puppies were not provided with the meals and could only be ordered as an appetizer. They are sooo tiny (see photo) and I believe we paid more than $1 a piece for each of the five tiny pieces in the appetizer order. The taste did not justify the price. Overall, it seemed like a pricey âyou buy we fryâ place. But we liked some of the food enough to...
