While staying at the Ritz we had lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were the only table for quite some time indoors with only a couple tables outside. We were our servers only table and service was awful. My daughter asked for plain fried chicken sandwich specifically saying she did not want the coleslaw, aioli or pickles. Her sandwich came out grilled and the bun was very dry. Also we had ordered gluten free fries for my grandson and they were not brought out. It should be noted our food was brought out by someone other than our waiter. We were finally able to waved down our server and she said there must have been “miscommunication “ between her and the cook when she said plain. She did take it off the bill. I had the vegetable beet hummus wrap which was not good. The broccoli did not even appear to be cooked and was pretty much the entire stem put into a wrap. I couldn’t even bite thru it. My husband had a burger which was “okay”. Considering we were our servers only table we should not have had to flag her down for drink refills. We opted to eat off...
Read moreHad fabulous service from start to finish! We started with the Mussels appetizer. It wasn't bad, but not the best. The rolls were put on the table and they were dry, so that was disappointing. The Sea Scallops were great says my husband who enjoyed his dinner very much! I had the Fettucine with mushrooms and peas. It was cooked perfectly, slightly al dente. There was a good amount of Peas but I would have liked more mushrooms. Surprisingly it needed some salt and pepper, but thats not a bad thing as I added it myself. We chose the Ritz Carlton Chocolate dessert. We've had it each year for our Anniversary vacation here and it was always round and decadent. This year it was a long slice, not so decadent and somewhat dry. The Negroni cocktails were made to perfection! So, we were slightly disappointed from our last 2 years. The atmosphere is relaxing. Heaters were on and you couldn't beat the view...
Read moreOur reviews of Coast have been less generous. Seems like management is taking this restaurant down a level. We have eaten here at least 6 times in the last two years. At this point we are going to consider other options especially for holidays or conventions. The restaurant just cant handle the load. Between dinner or breakfast it just seems they cant get much right. I know spending over $150 dollars on a meal for three we may have high expectations. Never mind breakfast which we walked out.. It took 40 minutes to get a kids breakfast to go. They want to sell you a $30 dollar buffet but screw the kids. We will certainly stay at the Ritz again but the food options are a bit challenging lately especially the last year. I am sure if you go during the week service...
