NOTE: Looking back at menu pictures already on google, I regret not snapping pics of the menu during our visit. Much of what is on google reviews looks like outdated menus. The cocktails we had, I did not see on google menus. Some of the food items (dessert in particular) have changed from these old menus as well.
From pictures we saw of this place, it looked really cool. We drove an hour just to check it out. It is located on resort property but there isn’t a hassle or gate to get to it, just some one-way roads and you need to drive sort of slow as there are people likely walking around by the mini golf and nature center adjacent to the restaurant. You walk up the ramp to get to the main entrance off to the right (not via the front deck)
We were seated immediately (Sunday around 5pm mid-August) Our waitress was friendly and upbeat, smiling almost the entire time we were there, took away dishes as we were done & offered refills whenever she saw a drink low, and before she took our order she did ask if there were any allergies the kitchen staff should know about. (Thank you Andrea!)
We got a couple of cocktail drinks, the kids got sodas, we had the tater tots for an appetizer- sour cream requested on side instead on top was fulfilled. Our two cocktail drinks were tasty - the Key West was amazing. The one my husband had with the jalapeños in it definitely had a good bite lol
Our meals came out in decent time. All was pretty tasty. Our son loved the Falcon burger and my husbands Afterburner fish sandwich was also very good. I was a little disappointed in how many chunks of fat were included in the chappie (pulled pork sandwich). Yeah it helps with the juiciness when cooking but kinda blands out the flavor when actually eating it (imo.) our daughter had the kids foot long hot dog with fries. Let me first preface with she is a picky eater to begin with, doesn’t do condiments for anything. So her hotdog was plain and fries eating without any dip. She ate maybe a third of the hotdog - without bun. The bun on these hotdogs is a sort of toasted bread, so not soft/squishy like traditional hot dog buns. It was crunchy. She did not eat much of the fries either, which my husband & I sampled ourselves and they were pretty unflavored. Looked like maybe salt and/or Parmesan sprinkled on them but they didn’t tasted salted. Just blah fries. Other sides we had: Mac n cheese, very good! Baked beans, tasty but would have preferred without the fat chunks. Corn bread was rather dry, meh.
But I digress to dessert! The shakes from pictures online definitely had our kids interested lol They both ended up ordering the same one - Oreo- and my husband ordered the bomb cheesecake. The SIZE of these things! OMG!!! I included a picture of the shake glasses compared to the standard drink cup. And the cheesecake was the size of a small tart and very lemony but good! The kids ended up taking half their shakes in a to-go cup because they couldn’t finish them. The top 1/4 to 1/3 is purée whipped cream too lol
We definitely plan to return again, especially with some plane fans in tow. ALTHOUGH I think we will try to request a spot in the middle of the building if we can. We were a bit disappointed that all the super cool decor we saw in online pictures was only in the center of the building in the bar area. The adjacent rooms of tables you can’t really see it all as well but we did have a nice view of outside and other frames memorabilia to look at (albeit much of it...
Read moreI recently visited Falcon’s Nest at the Omni Amelia Island Resort to celebrate a family member's 70th birthday, and the experience was truly surreal. From the moment we walked in, the staff went out of their way to make the celebration special. They were incredibly pleasant, attentive, and eager to help with every detail, which made the day even more memorable. We ordered a variety of items, including tacos, burgers, and sides like tater tots, fries, and onion rings. Everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The tacos and burgers were delicious and satisfying, with generous portions, and the crispy sides complemented the meal perfectly. What really stood out was the care the staff put into making sure we enjoyed our time there. One of the highlights was the unexpected, thoughtful touch of offering a complimentary cake and a birthday song, which made the celebration feel even more personal and festive. It was such a kind gesture and added a special charm to the evening. The ambiance at Falcon’s Nest, combined with the quality of the food and the top-notch service, made for an unforgettable birthday celebration. I highly recommend this beautiful and amazing place for anyone looking to enjoy great food and exceptional service in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for family gatherings or any...

We were a group of 4 locals looking for a casual place to grab sandwiches and drinks. The aviation theme was cute, but that’s where the positives ended.
We started with the chicken nachos — hot, cheesy, and the chicken was well-seasoned — probably the best part of the meal, though not worth the $26 price tag.
I ordered the "Paper Airplanes" cocktail, which turned out to be a small amount of Kool-Aid with two frozen watermelon cubes. At $13, it was laughably overpriced.
The club sandwich was large, but the turkey was dry, and the bacon was old and chewy. The pulled pork sandwich was even worse — cold, chunky pork (not pulled) drowned in pepper jam. My “Morning Fly By” burger came with an overcooked egg, cold greasy patties, and more chewy bacon.
Flat Diet Cokes and a final bill of $150 added insult to injury. When we asked to split the check evenly, our server divided it oddly, putting all the drinks and half the nachos on one, and the rest of the food on the other — not even close to even.
Sadly, Falcon’s Nest seems to rely on being the only option in close proximity to the Omni and the ignorance of tourists. We...
