Orchid Theatre — Restaurant in Ferndale

I used to go here every saturday night with 2 good friends. On average we spent about 200$ in drinks every time and the bar staff knew us and loved us.... However, recently some disturbing things have happened... One time I was DDing for my other two friends as I had to work in the morning. I witnessed an extremely inhebriated girl I had spoken to earlier being sexually assaulted by a man that was not her boyfriend who I had also met earlier that night. I went up and asked if she was ok and she couldn't even formulate a sentence in response. I was then put in a headlock from behind by the assaulter and after getting away yelled at him. A bouncer came and stepped between us and told him to walk away. Even though this altercation resulted in a cut below my eye, HE WAS NOT KICKED OUT!! My two friends witnessed the whole thing and yelled at the bouncer and the aggressor and other people were shocked to see he wasn't kicked out either. After addressing the Bouncer that a woman had been sexually assaulted and I was asking if she was ok, he said whatever and walked away!!! A seperate experience, I happened to be DDing again for my same friends and another friend that came along. An off duty bouncer was in civilian cloths and being aggressive and yelled at me and tried to start a fight with me because he saw me watching him make a fool of himself. After watching him being buddy buddy with another bouncer, I just walked away. Later I addressed the Bouncer on duty and asked if he was an off duty bouncer and he replied yes. I said ok, good to know if I need to call the police later because it is obvious that you would have your friends back even if he was at fault. He replied with you got that right and walked away. Later that night I was outside and experienced a bloody nose as I have terrible allergies. I quickly had it stopped and nobody was affected by it. They asked me to step outside because they didn't want any blood on their property. I did while my friends were inside. Once it had fully stopped and I tried to re enter, the bouncer made me aware that I was "Done for the night". After explaining it was a medical condition and requesting to meet his manager, he refused both and said sorry oh well. Being the fact that I know the ferndale police very well, I will be speaking to them to file a police report and have Orchid Investigated. In conclusion, if you want to be sexually assaulted, physically assaulted, have bouncers not watching out for anyone but themselves, and want to be kicked out because of a pre existing medical conidition, this is the club for you. Otherwise, I would advise to stay away. Me and my friends determined after the most recent experience that we will no longer be going to Orchid for saftey...

I used to go once in awhile, I will never go back. The bar staff is great but unfortunately the security guards and the managers suck pretty hard and that ruins everything. For some odd reason there are some security guards there who enjoy instigating fights with the customers. One specifically who has red hair enjoys talking crap to a friend of mine for no reason. The security guard was about to hit my friend who didn't swear at him, didn't raise his voice to him, didn't even walk up to him actually. I get in between them and I say, "Just leave us alone man we didn't do anything wrong." So he calls for back up instantly before anything else when we're being peaceful and I'm then put in a choke hold to the point I couldn't breathe and kicked out when a simple, "You need to go now" could have been in order. Then when I calmly tried to talk to the manager about it he didn't give two shits. He more over promoted his security guards to assault us, which by the way is illegal for them to put their...

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!! For the past seven years, this club has gone through some changes from bad , good and now the worst. The drinks are definitely watered down forcing you to buy way more than you can afford. The songs are too generic and repetitive with no soul, rap or even any kind of good drops. The crowd in the club definitely didn’t feel like it was diverse enough, the age gap is very broken and to make matters WORSE you have a very particular security guard who is VERY ARROGANT, AGGRESSIVE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL HE WOULD BE ONE SIDED AND NOT VIEWING THE WHOLE PICTURE IN SITUATIONS AT THE CLUB. This PARTICULAR bouncer chubby and short has had many complaints from many customers about wrongful accusations. So I warn anyone who goes there will have to be extra cautious with the security guards. IT WOULD DEFINITELY RUIN YOUR VIBE EVEN IF YOU ATTEMPT TO HELP A STUMBLING PERSON FROM GETTING HURT, BE CAREFUL OF GETTING AMPLIFIED IN THE SITUATION WITH THE SECURITY GUARDS ONE SIDED...
