Felt kinda unwelcome here before I even got into the store... I was having a private conversation with my grandmother about how I was excited to go into this store. A lady who was wheeling out a plant to another customer interrupted us saying the store was closed. I then let her know The Plant House says 12-7 on Thursdays from what google told me. She then replied saying that they were actually open, just not the Rustic Belt...a store I wasn't planning on going into. She then told us we had to go around to the front, not from the door she was exiting...once again we were on the sidewalk proceeding to walk to the front. Im autistic, not stupid. Out of all the stores that I've been to visiting out from Colorado, this was the only place I felt unwanted here.
In regards to the plants there- the plants are quite pricey for what they are worth. Its a botique style shop, so I understand the pricing such as in Denver the plants in boutiques will always be a little pricier than a greenhouse style store. Telly's greenhouse about 10 mineuts away has the same common houseplants for a fraction of the price if transportation isnt an issue for fellow plant lovers. They also didn't have any "rare" or unique plants which is fine, they never advertised as such. If that's something you're looking for, The Terrarium a couple stores down has a great selection of "rare" and unique plant for really amazing prices. I'm only mentioning this to those who might be looking for different options in welcoming environments.
My review isn't based off of the shop itself, it's cute. Its a great place for people who are new to house plants to go. Very small to the point I only spent about 3 minutes total there, but the fact the employee there made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome is why i gave such a low review..so much so this is my only low review Ive ever given. We all have bad days or days it's hard to provide customer service, but even with my bad days I don't intrude into someone's conversation without saying excuse me and when they actively tell you the wrong information pertinent to a private conversation. If I'm ever in town again I might stop by to see if there's a change of tone and I would gladly change my review, but as of right now this is where I stand in my feelings...

Since your reply to negative reviews seems to involve a rebuttal of how you review footage, maybe look at all the footage from when we arrived vs. when we checked out. We were NOT greeted by the two or three employees working when we arrived. We were not asked if we could use any assistance. That is just poor customer service. A refund doesn't solve that issue. I don't know what you meant about "coded language" just sounds like you can't handle a negative review of your business. The what we think is a prayer plant is great though.
Saw this place on the news and had to check it out. We wanted to purchase multiple plants for the house. When we got to the store we were ignored by staff. They huddled around the girl at the register and didn't offer to help. We walked to the other space they rented. Most of the plants were not marked with names or care instructions. We found one that we liked. That store had no staff but had a sign saying to go back to pay at the other store. We paid for our plant and left. When we got in the car we noticed that the plant was marked $24 but the girl charged us $28 and change. We drove a considerable distance with the thought that this place would help us choose plants that met our lighting needs for the spaces we wanted filled. As mentioned , we wanted to purchase multiple and would have with a little assistance. We could have just purchased...
Read moreAs much as I love plants, the Plant House just feels like a spot for trendy people and stuff. They have yet to convince me that they actually care about their customers, as much as they care about getting "plant experts" for their staff. I don't doubt their team has a lot of plant knowledge to share, but I have yet to experience this wealth of knowledge they supposedly carry. As a person who has worked several customer service jobs, I would consider myself on the more empathetic and patient side of things as far as customers go. What I don't have patience for, is waiting in line for 20 minutes just to be skipped by some other privileged person that lacks social consideration and awareness. The fact that this individual skipped me without knowing is not the staff members fault. But it is the staff members job to be aware of who has been waiting and should be helped next. Instead of rectifying the situation they just carried on like I didn't exist. No thanks to Plant House for nurturing a sense of care and quality service in their staff. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this place to anyone! Trendy plants and pots only go so far.. The people are what count. PS They...
