Fishing Hole Hideout Oyster Bar — Restaurant in Ferry Pass

We really hoped we were going to enjoy this place but after Saturday night I think we changed our minds. When we walked up we loved the atmosphere and the music. We wanted to sit outside of course. I went inside and spoke with a young girl who told me it was on a waiting list but it shouldn’t be too long. There was one empty table outside at the time but she explained it was always reserved for the owner. Which I still didn’t mind. She took my name and number. So we went to walk around the pier while we waited. About 30 mins of waiting we watched what looked like to be the head chef seat some of her friends outside. I went back inside and spoke to the young girl. To her surprise, she couldn’t believe we were still waiting and was very apologetic. We were still patient. So we continued waiting. Still what looked to be the head chef was still out on the patio going between two tables of what look to be her friends. After about 20 minutes more waiting is when another new customer came in. The server that was outside just told her to go ahead and sit down anywhere. The whole time we’ve been waiting 50 minutes for a table outside. So I Interrupted and explained to the server that was outside and she just kind of blew us off when I told her that and went back to doing her job like it wasn’t her problem. That’s when enough was enough I told the young girl inside we were leaving. They had forgotten about us three different times and kept sitting friends of the chef. It just seems like nobody knew what was going on. Nobody communicated with each other, and there was no Designated area to find a hostess. It was like every employee was working their own individual shift and none of them were talking to each other. I don’t know where the manager/owner was while we were standing by the front door waiting for 50 minutes and no one noticed. And while the chef was outside the entire 50 minutes hanging out between two tables of friends. If it wasn’t for the young girl being nice , Apologetic and Honestly concerned we would’ve just wrote this place off. So hopefully maybe some of these problems can be fixed for the future. Still it’ll be sometime before we want/if to try it out again. Like my husband said why would I wanna waste my money on a business that didn’t seem too concerned whether they lost a new customer or not. My question is how do you not see 3 people standing by your front door for 50 minutes and not one employee stop and ask if we had been helped. I felt bad for the young girl server inside she really did...

So we've been coming here for about 2 years now, we loved it as Delunas and wanted to try it out with its new owners as "The Fishing Hole". Pros - we love being able to bring our boat and park at the dock. The location is great, the decor is fun, it's always been clean, the food is EXCELLENT, and we enjoyed the live music. Downside? - Service really could be improved, the servers struggled with getting our orders correct when it was Delunas, and we went recently this last weekend and our service was again slow. The restaurant had plenty of open tables, but it appeared that the food was backing up and just not coming out. We ordered three appetizers, waited, had 2 come out, and only then were notified that they were out of the third. We should've been told immediately especially since we expected all 3 out at the same time. After ordering fish tacos as a replacement we waited again for another long time, only to eventually run out of time and request that it be turned into a "to go order" because the sun was going down and we had to get the boat back before dark. It took 2 hrs to get 2 drinks, 2 of 3 appetizers, and fish tacos out. When we had originally planned on 3 appetizers all coming out at the same time. That being said, we'll probably still be back and try to plan on slow service, because the food is that good, and we enjoy...

Arrived 630 pm I was by myself. Waited for someone to take my order i finally flagged soneone down for someone to take my order and i ordered crab claws and 1/2 dozen Rockefeller oysters. Simple order... That's it , oh yeah a lemon drop martini.....HORRIBLE!! got the crab claws, sat there on my phone ate my crab claws. Finally around 715 a girl comes out and says the Rockefeller mixture come pre mixed i was like ok. It took them that long to come tell me that...shouldn't the waitress who took my order know that???
