Kobe Japanese Hibachi and Sushi — Restaurant in Fitzgerald

This was my last visit to Kobe.

I've eaten here a dozen times, almost every time I come home from Atlanta, just to support the business. It's never been great, but I'm (usually) happy to support local businesses in my hometown.

To All The Out-of-Towners: GO TO CAFE BUDAPEST IF YOU'RE IN TOWN AND WANT GOOD SERVICE AND GOOD FOOD! (I don't have any connection with them, just like their cheesy chicken and corn casserole better than anything on the menu here ;) )

-The Food-

The rolls use low quality fish (take apart a salmon roll: the salmon is all the same color with no lite colored strips, looks like someone already chewed it for you instead of a solid piece of fish? Bad quality.). The steak tastes like it came from Walmart or Harvey's--not from an actual distributer. Almost like it's old or it's been left in a marinade for too long.

All that was FINE for years, nothing great, but worth the visit.

Until: -My Visit-

1. They forgot the sushi part of my order (2/5 people's order, so I had to drive the 15 miles back to town to get it)
2. They forgot the drink. (3/5 people's order)
3. They mixed up the two steak plates and forgot the extra mushrooms they charged me for. (5/5 people's order was messed up at this point)
4. When asked to refund the missing items, they refused to refund it back to my card and insisted I come back to Fitzgerald to get my $3, or the missing mushrooms and drink. They would not give a family member still in Fitzgerald $1.50 worth of Sushi (1 piece) instead (because who wants to eat a side of mushrooms?)
5. There was a semi-circle of maskless people right in front of the window (maybe 10) that was allowed to just... Block the path of anyone walking by or trying to get their food.

I spoke with the manager who confirmed and was aware of all of this. Not even a bit apologetic. I'll get my refund...

Came in at 2:30, totally dead so my food should have been right. Ordered steamed dumplings and chicken/shrimp/veggies/rice for the entree. Entree came out 1st, smothered in sticky sweet brown sauce, then the dumplings come out after the entree with frozen centers. The girl taking money couldn't be bothered to speak to me since her phone and ear buds were her priority. They remade the dumplings but now the dough was paste and the pocket was full of water. After she delivered the corrected dish did she come back to see if it was ok? Nope, she already took my money, she doesn't care. The food is wildly over priced, poorly prepped, FROZEN, no service, and sticky/unclean surfaces...

Just ate here with my stunt crew after hearing about how decent it was from my castmates. The gal at the counter was unfriendly. Acted as if we were bothering her. No smile. No common courtesy. I ordered the steak and shrimp and the spider roll. Rice was undercooked on the roll but whats worse is they messed up my order and gave me chicken and steak instead of shrimp. I informed her and she actually questioned me and whether or not I really ordered it. She was in no hurry to help and was very rude. Theres not much else to eat here in Fitzgerald but I will definitely not be returning to this terrible place. Avoid if at...
