Over all the food was good. For a family of 4 adults, we ordered a few things. First, the sweet and sour chicken sauce was yummy, the beef lo mein was good, but not really spectacular, the sesame chicken could have been a little more crispy (but truthfully thats a personal preference that i should have specified to them upon ordering), the spare ribs portions were amazing. The dragon and phoenix combo was good as well, but not really as spicy as the person who ordered that would have liked (again, personal preference that im sure can be specified next time) and the rice was a little too bland for our liking, however, the portions were awesome! We definitely did get a decent amount of food, so no complaints there.
Over all, we liked the food, and the smoothies/slushies were good too. I think for the price point (we paid almost $100), it could have been more âblow your mindâ, but we have to keep in mind that this is a new business that is genuinely just starting out, theres going to be trial and error and sometimes it wont always be perfect.
Would i pay that much again? Probably not, however, we usually order from âNew Happy Gardenâ in temple and for 4 adults its typically only around $45 for what we ordered. But like i said, China Hut is a new business thats LITERALLY starting out and starting fresh. I think we can absolutely give them some grace.
I hope this...
Read moreOrdered 2 LG chicken and broccoli, with added garlic... for a total of $26.
It came with 2 small rice containers, which were empty before we finished one of chicken and broccoli entrees - so, for the 2nd entree, there was no rice left. We expected that a large entree would come with a large rice.
The portion size of the entrees was good, except that dishes were very light on chicken and were mostly broccoli (85%). The broccoli pieces were large and the chicken pieces were tiny. For the price, it should be more balanced (50/50-ish), or else maybe call it broccoli with chicken.
This is normally a more savory dish, but the only flavors we tasted were sweet and a hint of heat. We like those flavors, but it was not the flavor profile we expected with this dish. We did not taste any salt, ginger, or even the garlic we requested. Perhaps these ingredients were overpowered by the sugar? But, if we wanted a sweet/spicy dish, there are other dishes we would have chosen.
We were looking forward to having a Chinese restaurant in Fleetwood. Hopefully, the owners will take these reviews into consideration and will make some changes to keep customers coming back. Otherwise, we will probably return to Panda...
Read moreSo I've been debating what to write for a review, but reviews matter these days so I'm just gonna go ahead and be honest. Let me first get the disclaimers out of the way. I ordered takeout Friday evening, I was told an hour wait, fine, totally get it, I've got all evening! I was just pumped to have a Chinese place in town again! I went there about 20 minutes before the hour mark and the place was poppin! Phones ringing off the hook, was crazy! I was glad they were getting business! Finally got our food and drinks, again, no worries on the wait. They only gave me 3 of the 4 entrees I ordered but hey, when I called in it was a mad house and they could hardly hear me, so no big deal, they just missed it, I was going home anyway. So, we get home, anticipating a wonderful, hot, tasty meal, ya know? Well, it was neither hot nor tasty. The General T'so was good, but the fried rice was a bit bland. Nothing really had that pop, like, wow, this is amazing, so good, make your taste buds have a party type of experience. I'm sorry, I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but I just couldn't really. I will definitely be back though! Good things take time and I just think with a bit of time and trial and error,...
