Bumpers Drive-In of America — Restaurant in Flora

HOW DISAPPOINTING. Been traveling ALL DAY trying to make our way to a sick father, no supper, stopped to drop $70 in gas at the adjacent gas station at the Flora Bumpers. I was so excited to see it as we looked at the menu on line and were so hungry. Ten minutes until 10 p.m. we were desperately needing something to eat. The grill was closed although they were not closed.. They closed at 10 but obviously quit cooking well before so they could walk out the door at 10. She didn’t even greet me with I am so sorry or hello just “We’re closed.” The door was unlocked. While getting our gas We saw another customer in there after us looking like he was picking up something. That is pretty sad when it’s one of the only places to eat in the whole town. I normally would never do this. But I pulled in a few days ago I realized it was a few mins before 10 so I backed out went right up the street to check on something came right back. By my phone was 1 min til 10 I pushed the button. Keep in mind all I wanted was a coke. I was rudely told "we ain't open" I said ma'am you open at 10 correct? "Yeah I still have 8 mins!!" I visit Bumpers often because of its proximity to my home. The new young lady they’ve hired…with that NASTY attitude…please fix it. I had just gotten out of church Sunday so I drove away instead of getting out of character. I asked the young lady what came on a particular burger and her response was “I do not know. I don’t be back there where they be cooking at. I work at the front.” I was so shocked…I said “really?”.
