2025 UPDATE: I am very happy to report that Palermo's II recently reopened and is as good as it was before it went dormant for several years due to a building fire. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and with plenty of variety. Great for family dinner outings or a quick bite for lunch!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Excellent value. You can get a tasty, home cooked meal at a very reasonable price. The decor is very basic and might turn some people off, but the food is consistently good.
I highly recommend the tomato pie (lots of chunky sauce and not too much cheese, thin and nicely browned) plain or with sliced meatball or pepperoni. Sausage, pepper and onion is also a good topping. The strombolis are very good too as are any of the sautƩ dishes. Try the chicken scampi over garlic bread or chopped antipasti for an appetizer.
Waitresses are a little inexperienced, but generally very attentive and friendly. You can't go wrong here, one of the best places in the area,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didnāt eat in, so I canāt rate the atmosphere, but just based off their hospitality when taking my order and delivering I couldnāt imagine the atmosphere being anything short of comfortable and beautiful. I got the pizza, and it was great! My two yo son ate more than I did. Lol, Their sauce is amazing. Not a lot of places do cheeseless pizzaās or as they call it tomato pies, but usually the places that do know about sauce, and sauce is what makes the pizza for me. Thank you so much for the warm welcome to NJ, me and my son will be in...

This is simply a fantastic place to grab genuine NJ pizza in a clean old style neighborhood. If you are nearby, stop in for lunch. It's not far from...
