Fiesta Mexicana — Restaurant in Florence

Okay so I live very close to this restaurant so I have been here several times, I most often get one of two waiters and they’ve always been amazing. However tonight the lady who helped us who I’ve never had before got so much wrong with me and my friends things, we ordered peach margarita on the rocks with tajin and we got peach….watered down something with a few grains of sugar on the rim…i had also asked for a coke which i never got and then we had to ask for just waters three times, when we ordered she came back at least two times to ask again what all we got and then seemed confused about everything we had asked for. One of my friends ordered a margarita after she had brought out another friends and she seemed very inconvenienced that she had to go get something else again. She asked if we were sure because she wanted to get it all at once yet she couldn’t remember anything we told her the first time. The food was okay. We ordered a large cheese dip to share and got a half full basket of chips that was never refilled so we couldn’t finish our cheese dip. She brought us our checks without us asking and was putting on her jacket to leave as she was. She told us no rush but that obviously wasn’t what she was conveying. She again seemed inconvenienced at how we asked her to split the checks and couldn’t seem to figure it out. This is the first review I have ever left in my life and my friends definitely didn’t want to go back. We had had a very long day at work and just wanted a drink and to talk and relax from the day but unfortunately that’s not what it felt like. I’ve never had issues with other waiters there and the food is how you’d expect it to be. The drinks are questionable and you can hardly taste that there might be alcohol in them at times but it was just crappy at how we seemed to be waited on. I personally will probably go again just hopefully never with that waitress. None of us tipped her which is WAY out of character for us but she didn’t seem to want to be tipped to be honest we were rushed and she ran out the door after throwing our tickets down at us. She asked me to please fill out my ticket so she could finish them because I was apparently taking too long for her. Then after rushing us we were leaving and saw her go back in the store while on her phone. We were also there before 8 pm and they closed at 10 pm. It was really disappointing and I’m not one to leave reviews or complain but I was so disappointed by our experience tonight and part of me wishes I would’ve asked if we could have had someone else wait on us. Every time she left the table she immediately was talking and cutting up with someone so I imagine that might be why she couldn’t remember what we wanted. i have had two bad experiences in a row and its sad bc i grew up in petersville and this used to be my favorite mexican spot! But not anymore. This restaurant seems to be completed UNDERSTAFFED all the time for the past couple years now and their service is HORRIBLE. The food? Its good, but all mexican food is good, and bad service can make a taco taste like garbage. I understand restaurants get busy, but if there is a table and a chair for the amount of customers walking in THEN HAVE ENOUGH STAFF TO COVER THOSE TABLES AND CHAIRS. It takes a good solid 15 mins for anyone to even notice us and take our drink order. Then another 25mins later for someone to come back to take our food order. The entire time we order they do not write down a single thing. AND MY MEAL IS ALWAYS WRONG. They dont even look at you when you order, like zero eye contact. And if you make any changes to the dish at all, they ignore it. I am lactose intolerant so i cannot have cheese and when i order i even say "no cheese" and then at the end i say "and again no cheese its just important" i always do this and smile bc i know its odd to people when you dont want cheese haha. But again, brings plate COVERED IN CHEESE. So i tell that person to tell the waiter "no i need no cheese" the plate sat there until it was cold and neither our original waiter or the gentleman who i told came back to check on us or replace my meal!!!! Since the person with me didnt want to eat until i got my correct dish, his food turned cold as well. After a good 20 more mins of nobody coming back, (keep in mind we have been here at least an hour now with no meal and only been spoke to once by waitress) we got up and paid for the guacamole we had with our drinks and we left. Bad service = your already on the plate and warmed up real quick food dont taste as good anymore. Ps its also EXTREMELY LOUD in this place like there are ten empty buildings beside you now, expand maybe?! You have outgrown your building and your tiny staff stop being cheap and be legit. I literally just made an order at 8:27 for us to go for a taco salad fajita chicken with everything. I called them five minutes ago and asked them what the total was again to make sure it was right and if it was ready because she told me it will be ready in 15 minutes. Manji they took mine first and last name down when I made the order well, of course they didn’t have my order didn’t have anything made for me and nothing was ready while she explained to me that food wasn’t made when you order it which I understand because I like warm and fresh food, but that is absolutely ridiculous when I’ve already called them twice and now they don’t even have my order. I am so upset, I don’t know what is wrong with this fiesta Mexicana I don’t understand why someone that doesn’t even write them down or can’t remember them or just doesn’t turn them into the kitchen. I’m just literally fuming because all I wanted was some Mexican food and didn’t want Taco Bell because I wanted real authentic. Are the best next to authentic I could get around here very upset.
