My family and I visit jalapeños quite a bit. We've given reviews with a much higher rating so this isn't a review just because of a single bad experience. I've noticed recently that they have been overcharging and /or giving you food you didn't order. The first time i ordered some chips and salsa 2 drinks and a bean & cheese burrito. My total was 50 dollars! I should have said something so that's on me. I was at my son's game across the street and didn't want to deL with it. When I got back to the game it was a ground beef and bean burrito. No cheese, nothing! Irritating but things happen. My children will go after school when they are waiting for a ride or off early. Twice my kids have had to purchase food they didn't order. My daughter ordered 2 bean and cheese burritos and 1 drink. 51 dollars! Really. I went back in when I arrived and was told they charged her for the wrong order. How can you charge for the wrong order when it's a walk up inside. The following time my son was waiting for a ride. Ordered a burrito and was charged 42 dollars! They told him that he ordered two and he had to pay for them. My husband walked in because my son didn't have enough money. He told them that was ridiculous didn't pay and walked out. It's concerning that these over charging are more than just a rare occurance. The high school I know brings in a huge volume of business. Kids usually won't pay attention to things like this. I truly recommend always getting a receipt of what...
Read moreIf you're looking for Mexican food that a kick to it, this is NOT the place to go. Their "salsa" was tomato sauce with onions and some chunks of Jalapeno. No spice at all. The Chorizo breakfast burrito was so dry, my daughter couldn't even swallow it. The beans in the bean and cheese burrito were a paste. The Chimichanga was 10% meat 90% rice, not kidding. Very thin line of meat the rest rice. And was smothered with canned generic enchilada sauce. The most spicy item they have is the Chilequiles with ranchero sauce. Had the same heat factor as mild Taco Bell sauce. Then there was the service. We ordered my daughter and son's food and when my husband and I went to give her our order, she interrupted to ask what we wanted to drink. We told her 3 waters and a Dr. Pepper, and she brought 4 waters no soda, and didn't get mine or my husband's food order. So when she picked up the menus 20 minutes later, I told her my order and she had to go back and get our slip. She never came and Che ked on us after we got our food. Never refilled our waters. Never brought out my whole order. Never brought us our check. So when we left, we paid our check and didn't leave a tip. Her tip was the money we spent on a soda we never received but was charged for, and the half of my order I never received but was charged for. We will never eat here again. Nasty food, bad service, and dirty establishment,...
Read moreI don’t post reviews often or at all really. I have been going here religiously since I moved to Florence. 2-4 times a week I’m a creature of habit. They changed there drive through register to one of those that always ask for a tip. At first I was giving tips 5-10$ per order 2-4 times a week. Then one time I went through and had enough just for the food pay day following day. I opted to not tip and the drive thru lady disgustingly said what no tip? After that I didn’t tip when I would go thru the drive thru. Always getting dirty looks or looks as if I had committed some great offense. Fast forward 30-45 days still going same amount of times for the week. I started seeing my order wrong even though it was repeated at the drive through. Beans not rice. Or something small. Then the last two times it started to be the main entree not even being what I ordered what so ever. 1st time I took the food back and got it made properly. It tasted off and then I got sick that night. Second time a few weeks later because I had told myself I would stop going but figured I would try again. Second time order written on the burrito but not even right what so ever no one but me in the drive thru so I know my order wasn’t mixed up with another customer. It entirely feels malicious because I don’t want to tip or feel I need to tip, just because you took my drive thru order. It’s...
