We came with a tour bus and we had a guided tour of the highlights of the museum then allowed to walk around and see, read what ever we wanted. I really enjoyed this as you could ask questions and take your time looking around. A lot of history and interesting facts. They also had a yard of old farm equipment, black smith shop, settlers home and an old chicken coop that resembles many that I still see today.

Very well put together small town museum, definitely worth the trip. There is a seven dollar entry fee for adults however children are free. Great place to take the family if you are interested in the history of the area. The staff was very friendly and even suggested a scavenger hunt for the kids. This is a must see if you are in the area!

Another wonderful museum proving that history can be fun. I was expecting ho-hum, but it was pretty fun. They have a nice mural on the outside side wall, and some historical items and wagon on display outside. Inside, although it's just two main rooms- there's so much to see. What I like is how they actually put a lot of model displays (vs making it very sign and photo heavy). This allowed me to feel immersed and it was less overwhelming to absorb all the facts.

On the right hand side, they had exhibits on geology, animals, and historical models of a dentist office, stagecoach, and more. They even had shelf displays of items from the past like silverware used. It was fun to read the signs too for each display. On the left hand side, they had historical models of bedrooms, dining rooms, and displays of weapons, prisons, and more. There was more to read on this sign as there were more interpretive signs. So much to see. You could easily spend at least an hour here. Really had a blast, and the museum staff are just so friendly!

Edit: Also just found out they have exhibits in the back too. Don't forget to checkout the back- where they have an ADA-paved trail along with interpretive signs. They have old farming equipment and two display rooms (one of a cabin/outhouse, and the other of a...

An absolutely amazing place! If I could, I would rate it 10 stars! The museum was extremely interesting and was filled with many artifacts. The ladies there knew everything about the place and were very knowledgeable. One lady (I don’t remember her name, I think it was like Kat or something) was such a sweetheart! She told us everything about each artifact thoroughly. What I think was awesome, we had told her we lived near the area, and there was a huge storm coming, instead of ignoring it and making us stay longer, she warned us instantly, she didn’t have to do that! This place was just amazing! PLEASE GO HERE AND SUPPORT A SMALL/LOCAL BUSINESS, YOU...

It was a fantastic museum for such a small one. We arrived a less than a half hour before closing yesterday and the greeter went and asked the woman who did the tours if she had time for one more tour. She said yes so the other lady took our money. The tour lasted from 3:38 til 3:45. We had to run thru the exibits and after saying a few words she would say hurry up, let's keep up, stay with me! If she really didn't want to do another tour we could have come back another day but we thought she was rather rude rushing us thru. The greeter was very nice to us and think she felt bad about our experience and tried to make...
