So I walked into Jerry's place bar and grill like I like to always do this time of night just to unwind and when I went to go to one of the machines to sit down and put money in the bartender that is working there tonight on June 17th said that me and my wife previously couple days ago were there ordered a drink and a soda and some onion rings well we got our drinks and then we sat there by the pool tables for almost an hour 45 minutes went by. And the bartender that's working there tonight she was our server that day and she said she walked out to go smoke a cigar out and the smoking area Cena's sitting there with the menus still haven't gotten our still haven't gotten our onion rings served to us and she looks at me as she's walking back in doesn't say a word doesn't ask how we're doing doesn't ask if we need any more drinks cuz our drinks were empty by then and we're sitting there just you know patiently waiting to see if she would actually take our order she looks right at me and walks by totally ignores me so I give about 5 more minutes on the cook's bringing out food to other people and stuff like that we still haven't got our onion rings that we ordered and we wanted to order some dinner too as well so I got up out of my seat walked up to the bar and I was going to place an order stood there waiting she helped two people next to me turn around help the other person on the left of me and then turn around and help some lady with a baby in her arms that walked into the establishment telling her or letting her know that she was outside out front at the tables and she needed service and she goes all the the bartender said oh okay I'll be out there in a sec she looks right at me didn't say a word to me still have the menus in my hand and yeah she walked out the front doors and took their order and help the people out front and then came back in by that time I was fed up and pissed off I don't like being ignored I'm a local first off and second off I go in there and spend a lot of money on pool I play pool I like to sing karaoke or wait and yeah I put a lot of money into those machines too I'm a gambler I love to gamble and I just got kicked out of one of my places tonight rudely in front of a bunch of people by the bartender that's working on June 17th of this evening told me I needed to get the hell out of the establishment and I needed to pay for my onion rings that we ate and our drinks I looked at I said I don't think I should have to pay for my drinks that we had that cuz that's all we had I'd pay for my drinks if that's fine with you but I did not get no onion rings she goes oh yes you did I seen him she started arguing with me really rude and told me to get the hell out of the establishment and not to come back ever again so I guess I got 86 out of there because of the bartender wasn't doing her job I know the kitchen real well I'm a chef I cooked for 15 years in kitchens and I bartend I served I've done a lot so technically I think I'm right in this one and she's wrong she was very rude The first time and tonight so if the owner sees this please you need to reassess or re-figure out your staff because she is very rude very very rude the blonde chick whoever she is she works at the casino too she don't like me for some reason that's what I suspect because that's every time I walked into the bar she'd give me dirty looks and be mean to me and ignore me in the past too and I have to stand their patiently waiting 10-15-20 minutes to get a drink when I should be served right away or taking care of right away if I'm standing right there I'm 6'6 I'm very tall person with red hair and I'm very skinny You can't miss me so there's a issue with her about serving outsiders or something I don't know but she's not very good at her job and she should not be running your establishment at all because you're losing business The food is great Scott's great Scott's awesome he's a good guy your day servers awesome . I felt so embarrassed in my entire life walking in there and getting yelled at by somebody that...
Read moreI visited this establishment on what was already one of the most difficult days of my life. I met my soon-to-be ex-husband there to discuss our divorce and custody arrangements. From the moment we arrived, I felt an overwhelming sense of being unwelcome. Whether it was due to our appearance, understandably worn from a long and emotional night, or the fact that my ex-husband is a person of color, the change in atmosphere was immediate and disheartening.
The bartender, who had previously appeared warm and friendly with others at the bar, became noticeably cold and dismissive once we entered. We had planned to quietly play one round of pool before returning to face the emotional challenges ahead. When I received a beer filled to the very top, my hands were shaking from stress, and a small amount spilled on the floor. As the bartender walked away, her only comment was, âI hope you donât slip,â with no offer to help or provide napkins.
Because I was standing near the pool table, an area where a wet floor could easily lead to injury, I expected a more safety-conscious response. I looked around but found no napkins on any of the tables, so I went to the restroom to get some myself and clean up the spill. The lack of concern for both customer well-being and the liability of a potential accident was shocking.
This experience left me feeling judged and disregarded. It is unfortunate when an establishment treats people poorly based on assumptions or appearances. I caution anyone who does not fit a certain look, whether due to attire or skin tone, to be mindful before entering this establishment. I sincerely hope the management reflects on the importance of professionalism, inclusivity, and basic...
Read moreI don't take pride in leaving scathing reviews of a establishment, however we didn't get a chance to experience anything redemptive past the entrance due to (the owner's) treatment of one of our party members who had a service animal (plus a card).
Not only was the line of questioning inappropriate beyond what is legally allowable, the attitude really turned me off to what was up until then a highly recomended place from a friend who was embarrassed by the owner's behavior no less.
Our party of 10 left in support unfortunately before we had any worthwhile experience. Sadly the staff who work there missed out on a large potential tip & order.
The owner seemed very content to not only disrespect our friend in front of the patrons who appeared to be regulars. They seemed comfortable enough facilitating a disability inhospitable environment. His attitude emboldened others to join in a gossip like fashion.
Perhaps we'll return after theirs a change in ownership at a minimum.
The one star is obligatory only to...
