I thought I could dine in, but realized when I got there it's only take out. No big deal. Kind of disappointed there's not really any combo meals of the different meats. So if you want ribs, you only getting ribs. So I made the leap, ordered a half rack of ribs and some pulled chicken. The ribs came with 2 sides, I selected Mac n cheese and potato salad. Also accompanied by a piece of Texas toast. Now, I must say I think I ordered too much food. Came out to about $30 and it'll feed 2 people most likely. The ribs were awesome. Let's just let that be known. Very very tender and very tasty, even with out any sauce on them. They give you a choice of sauces that you can apply. The ribs were great 👍 the chicken was ok. Good portion, but it was a little dry but tasty nonetheless. The sides were very good as well. If I'm in the area and looking for some quick BBQ I'd stop here. Very nice service as well and reasonable prices. 👍

Chef Alan at 220 BBQ catered my sons wedding. We ordered the beef brisket, smoked chicken, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, green beans, potatoe salad, coleslaw, cornbread, and rolls. EVERYTHING was out of this world phenomenal! The meat could not have been any more tender and moist. And his sauces were all different and equally flavorful. The macaroni is probably the best I have had. And my personal favorite was the cornbread....and I dont even like cornbread. Everone raved about the food. Will definitely be ordering from here again, and again, and again.

Sorry to say that we were extremely disappointed in the food. The ribs tasted like they were boiled and were rubbery and chewy. The single rib is from 220 and the other pic is what my husband cooks here at home. The ribs from 220 definitely were not smoked on a bbq. Tasted like liquid smoke was in the beans as well. The food was lacking in flavor and low quality.

After reading all the "GREAT" and "FANTASTIC" reviews from other Guides like myself we decided that we really needed to try this place out. From our location "home" to the 220 Business (can't be called a restaurant due to no tables or chairs for seating not even picnic table outdoors) is an approximately 45 minute drive. Once we arrived we were disappointed we couldn't sit but it goes on from there. The sides do not include such Barbecue staples such as Collard Greens, Turnip Greens or even French Fries so we had to stop at another restaurant the "Southern Palate" in Dunnellon to pick those up. Having spent time in Texas we became addicted to mouth watering ribs that fall off the bone and brisket so good you cannot stop eating it. While this Barbecue "pit stop" is good it just wasn't what we expected from the comments others have left. Heck, we didn't smell a smoker on the property but we know there got to be one The closet thing we've found here in this area of Florida that compares to Texas or even Kansas Barbecue is Big Lee's. 220 is Barbecue plain and simple but we would rank it a 5 out of 10. But that just our taste and expectations in Barbecue you have to go try it yourself and be...

Meh. Decent portion size. Everything was fresh and the meat was well cooked and juicy. That being said it was quite bland . The pork had a very light smokey taste and was under seasoned. The brisket had no smoke flavor and was even more bland. Almost tasted like it could have been cooked in a crock pot. It wasn't bad or anything just not what I would call barbecue. Would be very surprised if it was actually cooked over an actual wood fire. More likely an oven with some kind of wood chip box. Just not the same. The Mac and cheese again was bland. Just bland everything overall. Except the sauces. They were great. But brisket shouldn't need sauce to taste like barbecue. These of course are personal tastes. I admittedly am picky about my barbeque. I would encourage anyone to at least try it for themselves, because it wasn't bad food, just not my opinion of what real barbecue is. It takes more than just...
