Made reservations over a week ago for a dinner for a kids graduation. As expected we didn't have as many people show that we thought would be there which is out of any of our control and the server made a comment that her manager didn't know the group was going to be smaller. Mind you we arrived an hour before reservation time and advised that it was going to be smaller than expected. I apologized to the server as things happen and explained we expected more to come that didn't. She made a point to state that the tables were held all day. I'm sorry but that's not on a customer. That's on Management and when we did arrive there was people at the tables reserved so clearly that was a untrue statement to the tables being held all day. And they sat the other table reserved at the same time as us which was an hour before reservation time so no money was lost. And to a business standpoint it was income regardless of the size of party and still had 70% of the expected size. And frankly I don't believe the server could have handled any larger party. She was very overwhelmed and almost every single person food order came out incorrectly. One meal was suppose to be boneless and came out bone in. Kids burger meals were suppose to be no cheese both came out with cheese. Missing or incorrect sides on multiple other orders. Not to mention it took the server over 30 minutes to even get our food order. On top of it a server off the clock made a rude comment about my 4 year old being in a vpk graduation cap and gone as he walked by saying those are during the day and actually his graduation ceremony was at night and there was no need for a comment especially towards a child who is frankly proud of his graduation. Completely uncalled for and sad that an adult female had any comments towards a child's success or form of attire. And to find out she worked at the establishment is even worse. As I appreciate the restaurant accommodating us and as we are frequent customers we won't be back after the rude and unnecessary comments from the server due to the party being smaller than expected and the comments about a 4 year olds attire on his graduation night by a current employee who was off the clock drinking at the establishment. As soon as I sat down at the bar, Courtney come over with a twinkle in her eyes & a huge smile on her face said "We've got lumpia today" not only was I excited, but I was very impressed.
Let me make it clear that its been over 3 months and probably a few hundred if not over a thousand other faces she has seen since our previous interaction. The fact that she remembered not only me but also my dissapointment in not being able to have the only thing that I came in for tells me and should tell everyone who reads this that Courtney takes her job very seriously & tries everyday to give the best customer service possible. Her energy is unmatched, she is for sure in my top five favorite bartenders in North Florida!
All that said, the lumpia were by far the best that I have ever had in a resturant and even better than some family gatherings. After the first bite I knew someones filipino grandma made them. Simply amazing.
3-16-25 I came here as I have heard great things about thier lumpia (traditional filipino dish similar to eggrolls but better). Good authentic lumpia are hard to find outside of a filipino food truck or resturant.
With that they were out of lumpia today as they are a very popular seller. They told me that they are made by a filipino lady and brought in every Monday. On that alone, I knew they would be good.
All that said, generally speaking this seems like a nice chill place. All the staff were kind & welcoming. Decent variety on the menu, much like you would expect or assume anyway.
I ended up going with bartender reccomendation of grilled chicken quesadilla. Wasnt bad really, but if im being honest since I came for the lumpia my heart was set on that so the quesadilla was probably better than I gave it credit for.
Also I got draft Angry Orchard, the tap was going out so I got 3/4 of a glass free and then a full glass when it was replaced. I'll give them a notch on the customer service...
Read moreUpon going here during a lunch time meal with my girlfriend, we were not greeted when coming in, we found our own table and sat down. We're not recognized in a timely manner. Long wait times between ordering drink / appetizers / main lunch meal. Broccoli bites were delightful. Side salad was good but overpriced. Wings are overpriced as well. No bargains on ordering larger quantities. Girlfriend got big dog wings with no issues. I got the Cajun ranch wings with a mild heat and had issues. Upon getting my plate, there was a seasoning powder over top of the whole plate when I questioned it they said that was their medium heat spice. I personally believe when you order a Cajun ranch wings with a medium heat the sauce and spices should have all been mixed together and then put on the wings. When getting the bill I had a Bronco Discount Card for 10% off the total meal price and was not given a 10%. When questioning the waitress she referred me to the manager and the manager came over and then blamed the error on the machine and that she has no control of it but did offer to refund me $1 cash to offset the .73 cent error. Staff not very social. Update owner has responded saying that my experience was not typical to their services. Well excuse me if it's a party of two coming in to have lunch is not typical of your services. Not to mention that your computer set up for the Middleburg broncos discount card is ripping people off due to the fact that it is not giving a 10% discount, it is giving less.
