The Sheik Sandwiches and Subs — Restaurant in Florida

This location is not even worth one star to be honest. The morning manager on July 22nd around 9am- 9:27am at 1994 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, FL 32073 was very rude and aggressive. We ordered the $11 breakfast platter and we asked for the grits to be put in another container. When we received the breakfast grits were all over the inside of the bag and in the container. My son doesn’t like grits but since they came with the meal my fiancé would’ve ate them so we accepted to keep the grits thinking they would’ve been in a separate bowl. My fiancé went back into the store the manager was very rude and aggressive and called my fiancé an idiot. Arguing with my fiancé about having to charge us to put the grits in the container. He lied told my fiancé stating everything was remade fresh and there were no grits in the new platter. If he wasn’t a liar and that was true we would’ve went on with our day. The eggs and sausage which were moved from the grits filled platter to the new platter were the same ones from the previous platter and they were cold. My son could not eat them. He has a sensitivity to textures and grits is not a pleasant texture to some especially kids. So we threw away the $11 meal. I called the store and the same manager had an aggressive tone ready to be rude when I called. I was calm and explained to him the situation. He lied said that my fiancé was satisfied with the meal thanked them and left. My fiancé said that was not true. The manager told me to bring the platter back and he will issue a refund. I told him my son threw it away and then the manager told me to dig it out of the trash and bring it back to the store. I told him you want me to dig in the trash and bring it inside your store? He told me aggressively yes that is the only way I will receive a refund. I’m on the way to sea world and don’t have time to dig food out of the trash and go 15 mins out of my way to get a refund. This was the worst service I have ever experienced and I will not be back and this manager needs to be fired!!! It’s ashame because I have always enjoyed the sheiks food but this left a bad taste...

My second and last visit here. 1st visit I ordered cheeseburger combo only ketchup and onion. I get home and the burger has mayo pickles and is not onion ketchup only. I called she said sorry come back and we will fix it. I said I can't I live way too far away. She said I'll take your name and make it right next time you come. I went today for my second visit and reminded her I had a free correction on my cheeseburger meal. She said you already claimed it. I said no I haven't, she said i show it was redeemed. Isaid thats fine whatever just give me a cheeseburger combo only ketchup and onion and I will just pay for it. The drive thru cashier came back to the window to verify what I wanted on it again just to be sure, only ketchup and onion she said yes that's what I want on it. The manager said just charge her for the fries and drink. I said thanks.drove home and opened up my food to find a hamburger not a cheeseburger..seriously.. so I called the manager and she was not happy very short with me. She verified with you at the window she said. I said yes she asked did I want onion and ketchup on it I said yes on my CHEESEBURGER meal I asked for and repeated several times. Cheeseburger meal I said it over and over. She was very short with me about the whole situation so I said you know what, never mind and she said ok bye. So this is the last time I will go to this sheik. I should have known better than to go back again after the first...

Came around lunchtime no customers. Service was great and food came quickly. Ordered the steak in a sack. They said it was popular. The meat certainly needed more seasoning and I would recommend they chop it up a little bit more because the chunks were a little too big and at times chewy. It did not taste like it was cooked on the grill. It tasted like perhaps they boiled it first and then cooked it to the coloring of the meat it was a pale, gray color. They use banana peppers and provolone cheese and mayonnaise. I would advise him to chop up and mix to cheese and the meat because all the meat was down in the bottom and the cheese was stuck on one side and it was a not a evenly eaten sandwich. I asked if they had hot sauce. They pointed over to the counter where they had a bottle of some standard hot sauce that I certainly know would not taste good on a pita sandwich. I’ve had a lot of pita sandwiches gyros, Greek and Middle East food, and I’m not sure what they’re trying to be here, but it certainly wasn’t authentic by any stretch of the imagination. The food was decent. However, I don’t plan to come here again because it just didn’t taste like something I could imagine...
