BurgerFi — Restaurant in Florida

The absolute WORST service I have encountered in years. We are huge burgerfi fans and are visiting from an area that does not have one, so this is always a vacation highlight for us. This was our first time at the boca raton location and my kids had been looking forward to it all day. We went with a friend who had informed me that they had a promotion for a free kids meal with a purchase of an adult meal. When my friend mentioned it to the cashier, she said they did not honor that promotion. My friend calmly stated that the promotion was advertised on Facebook and did not exclude any locations. I pulled it up on my phone to verify. She asked how customers were supposed to know before coming in. At this point, the woman behind the counter started to escalate and say things like "I just work here" and "you need to talk to the owner" in a very rude tone. We asked to talk to the manager. When he came over, we never raised our voices or became rude, we simply stated that we did not think it was fair that the promotion would not be honored. During our conversation, the woman behind the counter started RANTING about us to a coworker. It was loud enough that everyone within earshot could clearly hear what she was saying about us. We stood there looking at each other in disbelief! I asked the manager if he thought it was acceptable that this employee was standing there disparaging us on the floor in front of other customers. He just shrugged. My friend asked for the woman's name and he refused to provide it. She said something like "oh, you want my name??? What's YOUR name???" Her demeanor and tone were threatening. There were 2 adults and 4 kids in our party and the kids meals cost $8 each so we are talking about taking off $16 for the 6 of us . We would easily have ordered at least that in other items (drinks, ice cream, more fries, etc) but ended up buying the bare minimum because of how we were treated. We only stayed because the kids shouldn't have to pay the price for rude and unacceptable behavior from employees. We moved on and had dessert elsewhere ,which totalled way more than $16. This isn't even about the money, it's about principle and this business has utterly failed. Their burgers cant be beat, but stay away from this location!!!!! Delray, Deerfield and WPB...

I consider eating burgers and onion rings is an insult to the body since it is our “temple”. I am far from perfect, I indulge in insulting the “temple” by eating the mentioned fast food every few months at the Burger Fi. A few times, they messed up the order but hey you are not dining in a 5-star joint so it goes with the territory. I typically dine in their outdoor area regardless of how hot the temperature is since I deem it much safer than inside. That’s me. On Sunday, August 16, 2020, I decided the “temple” needs some insulting so I drove to the spot on SW 18th and Powerline. It was about 4:10 PM. The dining room was quiet. I was the only one at the counter ordering food. Then, I went to the outdoor area to find a table. To my surprise, tables appeared not been cleaned for a while, and bird droppings all over the tables. I found one relatively acceptable among the tables, used my Clorox wipes to thoroughly clean it, and sat wondering what happened today in this joint. After 10 minutes, I went to the bathroom. When I opened the one to the left, the condition was horrific. It was dirty, wet paper towels all over the place and the state of the toilette area was simply “really bad”. I washed my hands quickly, took pictures of the room, got out, and went to the counter to bring the matter to the attention of the young lady who took my order. I showed her the pictures and she was not surprised at all and handed me the food. Puzzled a bit, I took the food to my table. The burger did not taste right and the disgusting scene of the restroom was still in my head. I finished the food and asked to see the manager. She came over to my table, heard my complaint, and responded by telling me she is working with a skeleton crew since several employees did not show up so essentially telling me “it is what it is, what you are going to do about it?”. I respectfully told her that an established, reputable, and well-run business such as Burger FI must have contingency plans to maintain the quality, and cleanliness in the era of COVID-19 regardless of what monkey wrench has been thrown into their operations. She repeated the same line as before. I gave up, left, and WILL NEVER GO BACK. I guess the “temple” did receive enough insults that will last it...

This is bad I am writing a one star review to my favorite burger restaurant but it needs to be said that the experience and lack of customer service this evening was the worst and most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. My wife, baby and I came in and ordered three beyond burgers specifically asked with multi grain bread and no mayo on the burgers and for one of them vegan style. We ate outside in the dark and began eating and talking distracted until I looked at my burger and saw it was potato bread and I am vegan. I went inside to tell the manager it was made incorrectly in which she said they will remake it. As I waited for them to remake it I went back to sit with my wife and baby and she told me that they put mayonnaise in the burger. A customer service person came out with my vegan burger but it had cheese so it had to be sent back (manager should have specified this with the kitchen). Another representative passed by and we said this burger was not made correctly (burger with mayonnaise). She took my receipt and went inside so they can redo it. The manager Sara or Star ( name unknown because associated gave two different names) was very rude never apologizing and seemed mad we were wanting our burgers we ordered done correctly. When my wife asked who’s they manager here she said “I am” and turned her back to us and walked off inside. When the associate came back to ask specifically how the order should be made I asked why isn’t the manager here when we asked for her and the representative said “ oh she’s frustrated and mad back there”. Very unprofessional of a “manager” to hide from customers upset. Hunter came to talk to us from the kitchen who was friendly and we asked to see another manager after 15-20 minutes and nobody else ever showed up. Sara belittles her associates and could not come save face with us as a couple of this associates came to us on the side to say she is rude to them as well and rude to customers when they manager owners are not present. My wife and I are extremely disappointed in this very immature experience. The employees that felt bad about the terrible manager gave us the names of the owners whom I hope to speak...
