Charlena's Pizza and Pastry Shop — Restaurant in Florida

To be honest I have eaten here once before and the food lacked any trace of flavor other than the massive amounts of garlic they added to absolutely everything. I like garlic, and the balsamic glaze wasn't bad, so I was able to eat most of it. My second time ordering I can't say much for the food because it never came. I placed a delivery order at 5:57 and was told it would be a 45-1hr wait, which is understandable considering I live less than a half of a mile to this shop. When 7:38 rolled around I decided to give them a call to see if my driver got lost or had trouble getting into the gate and was told my food is on its way already and should be to me very shortly. Before I could finish asking a question I was hung up on. I immediately called back and a different person answered to which I repeated my previous line of questioning. This person however told me my food is coming out of the oven now and would be on it's way as soon as the driver returned. I politely cancelled my order(which was very hard to do) and hung up. It is crazy to think that any pizza place would expect you to wait close to 2hrs for delivery and not let you know in advance. If they would have been HONEST the first or maybe even the second time I ordered and told me it was going to take that long I would have either went to pick it up or ordered from elsewhere. To sum it all up, I would rather get explosive diarrhea from the food at a chain pizza joint then to deal with the mediocre at best food and hassle of ordering...

Only reason I’m giving ONE STAR it’s because I can’t review without it, otherwise I will have give them -5 stars. We called in an PICK UP order, the clueless person who took it clearly was NOT paying attention. We ordered…. 1-Steak sandwich with NO ONIONS, NO PEPPERS and DEFINITELY NO MUSHROOMS. 1- Pepperoni Stromboli. 1-Meatballs Sub. 1-Garlic Bread. When we got Home we realize what we really got. WHAT WE GOT….. 1- Steak sandwich with EVERYTHING IN IT (onions, peppers and MUSHROOMS) 1-Everything Stromboli. 1-Some type of what they do call “ Meatball Sub” still trying to figure out what kind of meat they used to make the meatballs…. No garlic bread, period. Worse part is that I’m EXTREMELY ALLERGIC TO MUSHROOMS. I would have ended up at the Hospital if I didn’t check the content of the steak sandwich when we got home. We call them back to see if we can get our order straight and the CLUELESS PERSON, same one who took the order earlier told me that it was too late that they were about to close and that I have to call back tomorrow. Shame, shame, shame. I remember when that was a decent pizza place....

I tried this place once before & said to myself they need to take "New York" off the window! I tried it again & ordered the "Meatball Sub" 14" with a side dinner salad! When I ordered I was told around 15 minutes! Not even 5 minutes & she brought the bag to me. I drove home & looked forward to a good meal!! Well!! I was totally shocked & will never go back! The sauce 1st off was bitter in taste & disgusted me that I threw the whole thing out! Meatballs very dry..... no cheese whatsoever ( who makes a meatball sub without the parmigiana), bread soggy & awful taste! They need a chef or someone that knows how to make a product that you want to come back and have again. Fresh tasty melt in your mouth meatballs, crusty bread & good mozzarella! Then I tried the salad that was tasteless even with their dressing! Very disappointed …. better meatball subs at "Subway" for a lot less! Definitely two...
