Y'know, when I walk into any restaurant I try not to judge a book by its cover - so what if it was gas station pizza, they had their own space and not like there haven't been plenty of diamonds in the rough right?
I get home, and there we have burnt pizza. When my family asked how it was the BEST I could use to describe it was edible, and after two slices of this trash my body was screaming that this was poison. The fact that the shop itself looked like they hadn't bothered with maintenance ever didn't exactly fill me with the necessary confidence to continue.
We also had a salad, and no salvation there. It smelled off, at first I thought it was just the egg, but a good look at the meat and I'm fairly convinced that the food was at least a few days past its sell-by date.
Excuse me, I have to wrap this up, pretty certain my meal is about to make a hasty exit whether I want it to or not. And if that mental image cost you your appetite, then I will consider this review to have been a public service. Go absolutely ANYWHERE else.
EDIT: It's worth noting after the response from the owner that at no point did I make any calls to the pizza place for any reason. The initial order was placed by a family member, I merely did the pick up. After discovering the food was unsatisfying I left my review and was done. I don't know what my family members did afterwards, I never asked, I simply left my review and tried to make it as accurate to my experience as humanly possible.
I stand by it, and I resent the accusation that I harassed anybody. This isn't even a case of miscommunication - my interaction with the business was limited to paying for, picking up, and consuming the pizza followed by leaving this review. Calling to harass employees over poorly prepared food is counterproductive and not something I engage in (hell, I have to be pushed to even send food back to the kitchen at a sit-down restaurant). I simply made my review and a mental note...
Read moreAfter a 2 hour wait for our pizza, it arrived cold. With a $60.00 pizza order, this is unacceptable. Prior to this, Davila's has been our go to pizza place, and we ordered often. When we called the store and asked to speak to a manager, we were told there was no manager there. They would need to take our name and number and have her call. We were offered 20% off or a new pizza. 20% off of a $60.00 order - that was cold, is unacceptable. We told them we wanted a new pizza. We were told it should be delivered in 1 1/2 hours! We were put on hold several times during this conversation. 20% off for repeat customers is ridicules. When I told the person who answered the phone we wanted another pizza, she again put us on hold, came back on the line, and told us they wanted the cold pizza back. It is boxed back up and at the front door waiting - AGAIN - for a pizza to be delivered. Side Bar - Not only will we NOT be eating the second pizza because it probable has spit - or worse - on it, we will NEVER order from Davila's again. Shame since they had decent pizza when it's not cold.
After reading the managers response to my post, I have to say that they were not there when I called about my order. And the outstanding employee who took my call was not willing to give me the managers name. Only that she would take my name and number and have âherâ call me. When the second pizza was delivered, the driver knocked on our door so hard I head it in the back room. It was pretty clear the statement that they were making. (we have a âplease do not knock on our doorâ sign due to a family member with PTSD. Thank your staff for disregarding the sign). They may know their staff, but not so well that they were there for them on the âbusiest nightââ they ever had. Late is one thing,...
Read moreOkay, first offâŚ. The food is AMAZING!!! Iâve only ever had the cheese pizza and the bacon cheeseburger and they are just fantastic! Although, I was really disappointed and disgusted with my last experience yesterday. So, on Wednesday, me and my boyfriend went there for dinner, but unfortunately, when I checked my bank, I realized I didnât have enough to tip the waitress. So, I couldnât tip her. Then, yesterday, me and my boyfriend went there again. We ordered garlic knots, pizza, and desserts. The first thing I noticed about the garlic knots were 2 strands of hair. I found it odd, but brushed it off thinking someone wasnât wearing a hairnet or something. But, in one of the actual garlic knots, they were a strand of hair INSIDE of the garlic knot!!! At that point, I figured that was on purpose possibly because of me not tipping on Wednesday. Then, I found one more strand of hair on my pizza plate. I no longer trust the food there anymore and will not be coming back. And the reason I didnât tip the waitress was because my 18 year old cat just died the night before due to a stroke that affected her back legs and I had expenses to deal with for that. So, basically⌠I was punished for not tipping, which I donât think was right or okay. And the cheesecake was so small, it wasnât worth the $6 and I had that taken off. Therefore, I didnât tip yesterday either because of the hair and the fact that we were being ignored by the waitress. Overall, the food is just amazing, but i no longer trust it because of the hair...
