I apologize for not getting to this sooner … a month ago our kids were having a complete melt down in the restaurant - they were very hangry after a very long car ride. They had slept most of the way and I see now we need to wake them up and stop to eat. If not, we have an experience like no other which I compare to waking sleeping bears that are hangry as heck and starving. Take one from me, don’t let the kids keep sleeping and skip meals when driving long distances. Or if you do, keep in mind that you too might find your children have been taken over by some sort of feral animal that’s starving and dangerous. lol.
Seriously, I was stressed cause the kids were not listening to anything and prob could have fed them raw meat (not that I’d ever do that) and sweating like a crazy person and thought I was gonna overheat. Then out of nowhere an angel appeared at our table. She had some serious magical super power that almost immediately calmed the kids. We went from looking absolutely crazy to having our first meal inside a restaurant without tantrums and can honestly say I’ll one day try it again! With a 2 and 3 year old it’s going to be a challenge but I learned it’s possible and look forward to many more “pleasant” experiences when out dining or traveling. I know I would have wanted a drink (and I don’t drink) the night we had dinner. Instead of wanting to get up and leave as we were contemplating (we didn’t want to others in the restaurant to have their for our patient, understanding and maternal waitress Bobbi! She was a lifesaver. I was sweating bullets and probably looked like I needed something stronger than coffee when an angel suddenly appeared and my crazy, hungry kids (that had napped most of the way) suddenly calmed down, lowered their voices and we ate like a “normal” family INSIDE a restaurant. Thank you Bobbi for being a shining light for our...
Read moreWORSE IHOP I've ever been to! Our waitress was clueless! My self and my dad both ordered a breakfast sampler which is 2 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausage links 2 ham with hashbrowns and 2 pancakes. I requested a waffle rather than pancakes (upcharge which I have no problem with) and my dad ordered Blueberry pancakes, also with upcharge. The 3.7 seconds it took her to walk to the computer to put the order in she completely forgot what we ordered because we both received ice cold pancakes that tasted like the were cooked lastnight so didn't eat that and on our plate was maybe 1 egg bacon and a scoop of hashbrowns. I ordered a coke and my dad ordered an unsweetened tea and the bill came to $32!!! I would have no problem paying that if it was what I actually ordered. Then we go to pay and the cashier takes one persons money then just walks off and starts cleaning tables. After standing in line with 3 different people also waiting to pay I took my check and money and just handed it to the first employee I seen and walked out. Will NEVER go to this IHOP ever again. Eat at...
Read moreI had to put 1 star because I couldn't write a review if not. I came in a a Thursday evening about 930pm. I waited for about 5 min for someone to greet me and take me to a table. The server came around the corner and asked if I wanted a table or take out. She was very short and rude and said we aren't putting any orders in we're closing early. I'm pretty sure she saw the expression on my face, so she gave me an excuse that maintenance was coming. I probably would have bought that, but as I continued to look at the menu deciding whether or not I wanted food to go, she went to the family to take their order. She would have put our order in at the same time. We would have probably finished our food at the same time. I worked at an IHOP in Tampa for 4 years. I'm not sure if this location is privately owned or corporate but that store is corporate and if someone would have done this to a customer, they wouldn't have a job anymore. I've also been a server for 25 years. It's not a position to have if you're miserable. You'll never...
