As an early riser my 6am google search for an early breakfast near my motel in Treasure Island produced many 7am and 8am places but only 1 place was open at 6am. Having lived in NY for 5 years, I know that Diners can be an excellent option. So Doe Doe's Diner here I come.

A quick 10 minute drive over the Tom Stuart Causeway brought me to this diner on Alt.19. A stand alone business serving breakfast and lunch with entrances on 2 sides and parking on 3 sides was a welcome sight. With half a dozen patrons by the time I arrived at 6:15am, I settled into a comfy booth. I was greeted right away by a cherrful lady and offered the beverage of my choice. Unsweet tea please. One great thing about diners other than the hours, you can order whatever is on the menu at anytime.

I jumped at the chance for a breakfast cheeseburger w/ a side salad instead of fries. Diners give you options and they had it all. A simple and fresh salad with a greek type vinegrette hit the spot. A delicious made to order cheeseburger appeared as soon as my salad plate emptied. I put in a take-out order, a 3 cheese omelet w/ hash browns for the wife. They also have curb-side service. Quick, pleasant and attentive service was rewarded. Extra napkins without asking.

A cozy, comfy and warm bastion on a chilly and foggy morning was just what the doctor ordered. No rush, no fuss good eats kick started my mini-vaca Sunday morning. What more could you ask for? Come...

Unfortunately this review is solely based on experience and weren't even able to try the food. Place was busy but not packed, it is seat yourself.... unfortunately there was no seating, not because they were packed but because there were numerous tables that were still dirty with plates and tips. At least 5 servers walked by us while we were standing there looking for somewhere to sit, one employee walked by us at least 5 times and just looked at us like we were stupid. Nobody greeted us or said, "give us a few minutes and we'll get a table cleaned off for you", or even "welcome, we'll be right with you". After standing there like idiots for 10+ minutes we decided to just leave because, if this was the begining experience, I can just imagine the rest of the experience. It seemed like a lot of regular business and if you weren't a regular then you were going to be treated like crap. Was on my bucket list for quite awhile but will definitely be adding it to the...

Yesterday I had the worse food I had at Doe Does. I do not know what changed but the last 2 times I was there, the food was sub par at best. Yesterday, I had the half order of Eggs benedict. The English Muffin was raw. Not slightly cooked. It was raw. When I told my waitress about it, she offered not to charge me for my sausage gravy. Our food came in less than 5 minutes after ordering. Most if the food is premade and when it gets to the table, it shows. I came to the office this morning and talked to my partner about it. His words,.,,,I'll never go there again. Why I asked. Basically, the same story above. The food is going waaaay down hill. Listen, I love Doe Does' but whom ever is watching the food going out needs to pay more attention. Yes, you'll always be busy but I guarantee you are slowly but surely losing your old business. People who have gone there...

Super amazing excellent service! From the time you enter the door you’re treated like family and everyone smiles and says hello. Service was fast and efficient and super accommodating to special requests. The food was so tasty and flavorful and came out piping hot! Our order was Eggs Benedict with home fries (crispy as requested), a side of Polish sausage and chocolate chip pancakes - and those pancakes were AMAZING - not even hint of the common “commercial made rubber” cakes - but instead, they were superb - like mom made them! Owner made it a point to thank us for coming in ;). WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WE WILL BE BACK -and bring friends 😍. OH! Almost forgot to mention the true Carolina sweet tea - could mainline that stuff!!! Would stop in just for tea ;). Prices are super reasonable as well - GO there - you’ll be happy you did.

The place always busy for breakfast, however, the wait time normally not bad. It is good diner food, the portions big and price is budget friendly. The coffee, hmm, diner coffee so don't expect much. During the football season, the owners are divided to packers and steelers, choose your side carefully. Nah, they both are very friendly. Glad they are the ones took over the business to keep it the way it is. Update: After reopened from pandemic, the place is busy. However, the tables are not 6 feet apart and the seating just like 100% capacity. The server didn't have mask but did after I was done eating. Guess mask is optional. Can't complaint much about the food and price.
