FOOD HERE IS AN ABSOLUTE TREAT!!!!
Today my friend Janet invited me to share a lunch with her, and since I had not been back here in over a year, I really did not remember much about it, since it's not in my immediate neighborhood. It took me over 1/2 hour to arrive here today. Anyway, it was more than worth it! Peggy was our very efficient and friendly waitress.
Janet ordered the TARRAGON CHICKEN WRAP with a side of POTATO SALAD, both looked extremely appetizing, and it was huge, so she took half of it home. With a nickname like Mama Mia, I of course had to try something on the menu that was named MAMA'S BREAKFAST SANDWICH. This consisted of EGGS (must have been at least 3) then a choice of Bacon, Ham, Sausage, Turkey Bacon and I don't remember what else. I chose the SAUSAGE (came in the form of 2 huge patties) and PROVOLONE cheese, melted over it all, served on a great ENGLISH MUFFIN. Now everyone knows I have a big mouth, but honestly, this sandwich was so huge, I had a hard time biting into it, but don't worry, the taste was so fantastic, I did not want to put it down! As my side, I chose something that Janet said her grandson Cole had recommended and that was HOUSE POTATOES, which are fried potatoes with onions and sweet peppers, absolutely delicious!!!! So the whole experience was a delight and therefore ..... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreWe've been here quite a few times over the past 5-6 years. Always looked forward to breakfast/brunch here. We pulled into the parking lot around noon on a Friday, thinking we may have to wait a bit. We noticed there were very few cars in the lot. Not a good sign. Also, we were the only patrons in the place. While there, only 8 more came in. My husband ordered an omelet with one piece of dry toast. He got 2 pieces slathered with margarine. Omelet was swimming in grease. Unappetizing. I know that COVID wreaked havoc on a lot of businesses, and the owner of Eggstraordinary had to close all but this location. But, there are things this owner can control with this 1 location. There used to be beautiful hanging baskets of plants/flowers outside. Bring them back! Repaint the dining rooms. The servers were in the "back" the whole time. Why? The person greeting and seating your customers had no warmth or enthusiasm. We had to search 4 tables before we found one that had a ketchup bottle that was at least half full. The other table of patrons had one member having to go to another table to get salt and pepper. Pay attention to details that matter. You can bring patrons back, but you have to care about...
Read moreThe waitress is racist. I'm black, I came in with my husband, who is not black. I was the only person of color in the whole place. No hello or welcome in when we walked in. Just escorted to a booth. The whole time, the waitress did not acknowledge me at all. Every time she came over to ask how the food was or if we wanted more coffee, she looked at him only and did not address me at all. Now the food was disappointing. I ordered a garden omelet, which comes with mushrooms, spinach, cheese, and so on. Omelet means you cook all ingredients together. Well, what they do here is cook the veggies separate from the eggs and then just toss them in the middle of the eggs and serve it that way, eggs separated from veggies. It turned out to be a soppy mess because all the water from the vegetables was dripping out from inside the folded egg. Traditionally, it is not an omelet, just eggs with soppy vegetables. Anyway, it goes without saying that I will never be returning to this place, and I do not...
