Really enjoyed the food and service here. There was a 30 min wait but we were able to snag an outdoor seat in about 10 mins. A new server was being trained and the other server was patient and kind with the new girl. That was nice to see. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Grilled Shrimp as our appetizer. Wonderful. The bacon was crispy and not rubbery like some I've had. The bbq sauce was sweet with a little heat, very good flavor. Would definitely get again. I ordered the grilled fish of the day, came with 2 sides. I got the seared tuna with sides of potatoes and pasta. The potato side was exceptionally good. They chunks of red potato with a creamy sauce. The sauce was well flavored. Could have eaten more of them. 😋 The pasta was linguini with Alfredo. Pasta was cooked well and Alfredo was good too. Tuna was good. The marinade wasn't my favorite but wasn't bad by any means. It was cooked just right (with a pink center) and tender. It also came with a toasted slice of bread. Tasted if garlic and butter, not sure what made it red, but it was yummy. For drinks I ordered the Waterberry Daiquiri. It's strawberry 🍓 watermelon 🍉 flavored. It was super tasty. The blend was fine and had no large chunks of ice and was easy to drink. Even my S.O. liked it and he doesn't like watermelon or strawberries 😆. He said it tasted like fruit punch. He got the Shrimp Cuban with the sauce on the side bc it said it was spicy. I think we both could have had the sauce on it and been fine. That's coming from someone who doesn't care for spicy food. I'm also happy they had Chipotle Tabasco. It's my favorite tobasco by far and I hardly ever see it at restaurants.

Grills Riverside 6075 N. US Hwy. 1, Melbourne, FL 32940 3 Stars (local chain restaurant review) According to their website, Grills Riverside in Melbourne opened in 2010 and was the second in the three-location chain (there is one in Port Canaveral, the first which opened in 1997 and another in Orlando). This location is accessible by car or boat. I figure that if they have been in business for 13 years in this spot and over 25 in general they must be doing something right. However, I forced myself to be ephectic as I didn't want to jump to any conclusions. After 7 years and over 500 reviews, if a person pays attention, you will begin seeing the same ingredients over and over again from the same vendors. I strongly suggest you watch closely if you haven't been to this point. It becomes a battle of execution. Great chefs can make crap taste great, average cooks can be hit or miss and lazy slop slingers can make a bad situation worse. Thankfully, Grills Riverside falls in the middle. These ingredients are bottom-of-the-barrel quality. However, on this day and at this time, my items were a hit, not a miss. My dining companions feel I'm being too generous with the three stars, but for what I ordered it is accurate. Sasha is our server today and she did an outstanding job. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and on point for the entire meal. I put in an order for the Hurricane Burger with Cheese, Fish tacos, a Shrimp Cuban and some sesame-seared tuna. Kicking back and taking in the view, I snapped a few pictures of the place and awaited Sasha's return. Before long Sasha was seen approaching with our order; after taking some pics of the food, I got to work. First up was the Hurricane Cheeseburger. While the burger was cooked to order, the cheese must have been put on as an afterthought, as it certainly wasn't melted on the grill. The bun was average. The Fish tacos looked far better than they presented on the palate. They weren't bad, just bland. The salsa was obviously not fresh and tasted like it was straight off the Sysco truck. Moving on to the Shrimp Cuban. I found this to be spicy but delicious with perfect execution. This was really spot-on and tasty. The bread was grilled to a perfect golden brown, and the shrimp, while bottom shelf quality was tender and tasty. The last item up for review was the Sesame seared tuna. I was surprised at the freshness of the tuna as most of my experience with this dish has been at Thai clip joints where the freshness of the fish is suspect, to say the least. The Big Boy says, “As usual, great views equate to average food. Nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about.”

Visited this restaurant on a Monday for lunch. Beautiful Beautiful scenery. We sat outside. My food was blah ate 4 bites done,I had the mahi mahi fish lunch portion with the island veggies and parm potatoes. Fish was too firm for my liking and didn't care for the sides. We ordered the calamari very yummy. Drinks hittin get the HURRICANE, caution it will sneak up on ya. We had a party of 8 the infant was included which drank her bottle and nibbled on mommies plates and my nephew wasn't feeling well and layed his head on the table during lunch. We had a longer than normal wait for food that 2 of our party had to leave and return to work no food. Waited over 30 mins food Arrived about 7 mins after they left. We said for all and 18%gratuity automatically added. They are known for the coconut shrimp looked tasty but had to pack up and take because of the wait. We also had the Cuban and the shrimp Cuban. They said the sandwiches were really good I had a bite yummy. Even with the rain about 5mins before we were finished;it was beautiful. I would not get any of the grilled fish entrees, and sides are gross. Overall, a yes because the scenery. Please give a thumbs up if this helps

I'm here for their Fish Taco Tuesdays! I was surprised with how much tuna I got per taco and was living for it (also comes with a side of black beans). I ordered mine medium rare and they did it perfectly. Each taco was a nice filet of tuna on a bed of slaw and simple creamy drizzle on top. Finish it off with a nice squeeze of a lemon wedge and you got seafood simplicity at its best! If seafood isn't your thing, they also have chicken tacos too. Aside of their bomb fish tacos, this place is your typical 'Florida seafood' restaurant that can be on the pricier side. Their other non-seafood dishes are fine, but I find that they shine with seafood. Also to note, try to catch their seasonal specials of rock shrimp (typically July-October) or lionfish (March-July) as well so try it out since it is a local special! The rock shrimp tastes like lobster, but in shrimp form. It was pretty good, but it was just teasing my appetite and I wanted it to be more substantive. Anyways, can't wait to come back here and try their lionfish and I'll be back for another Taco Tuesday!

Appetizers were small the calamari was undercooked for one and perfect in the other. 2 squids for the calamari appetizer and the sauce did not make it taste good. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious, just small. My food arrived cold, not well seasoned. My cousins food was a healthy size. She liked it. The service was good, they had no problem bringing me fresh hot food but it took long to get the food in the first place and then longer to have it free cooked even though everything I ordered was either precooked or a quick cook. The atmosphere was nice the river view at night was pretty. Mostly seniors which meant pleasant place to converse. Lighting was too dark by the bathroom area. I couldn't really see the signs until i was on it. Plus the bathrooms were outside which was different. They were clean though even if one stall was out of toilet paper We ordered mocktails, they were nasty though. I don't think if you added alcohol they would have tasted better. A hundred dollars for a dinner of two. Not going there again.

They have everything going for them except a kitchen staff that cares about the food. Grills' is located right on the water, has seating inside and out, there was even a very good live band that was not too loud. We ordered the Shrimp Cuban, Seafood Alfredo, and the Coconut Shrimp. All were disappointing to be polite. The Shrimp Cuban was bland sliced lunchmeat with three small shrimps and set a new low for bad cubanos. The Alfredo had virtually no taste and reminded me of eating milquetoast. The Coconut Shrimp I'm confident to say was taken straight out of the frozen Costco bag and popped in the broiler.. it was something you would eat at home when you're too lazy to cook. The combination of the unpleasant food and the large atmosphere made me think I was in a waterfront version of Golden Corral. Get a chef and crew that can cook and this place would be awesome.
