I have always enjoyed this place, but unfortunately not this time… it took some time for the gal to take our order (party of 7), she finally got our drink order and ap order, drink’s came, and then the girl disappeared, our apps didn’t come and after almost 30 minutes we flagged someone down, apparently the girl left and hadn’t put our order in at all. (By this time we have been there for an hour and have only gotten 7 sodas and no refills. Our apps came and they were just OK, we got the samplers basket and the food in it all tasted the same, also got chips and salsa, the chips were stale, but salsa was good.
It took a pretty long time for our meal to come it appeared that there was only one server working both inside and the patio, and he was hustling, we got one refill of drinks, and some of us actually just walked up to the bar to ask the bartender to refill our sodas. When our meals arrived the French dip that 2 people ordered were not even the same sandwich as each other, one had mushrooms (guy that got that sandwich hates mushrooms) other than that the sandwiches were OK, but all of the fries and onion rings were cold. It took us 2.5 hours at this restaurant to eat, we were not having cocktails so this is far too long for just dinner. It wasn’t real busy, so it shouldn’t have taken as long as it did, the kid that took over our order was trying his best, but there was too much for one server to handle. Lucky for him we were the only ones eating towards the end of our time there, the rest appearing to be locals drinking and listening to live music. Seems like a fun place to hang out and drink, but don’t think we’ll return with out of town guests in the future, we talked the place up before we got there, and it left everyone with failed...
Read moreFirst time here and I have to say the food was delicious! We ordered some sandwiches and they were huge! We both had leftovers! The bread itself is gigantic and they're very generous with the portions. While the food was the best part of my experience, there were a few things I wish were a little better such as service, which was mediocre, also it was a little confusing when you first come in as there isn't a hostess to seat you and I didn't see a sign inviting you to seat yourself. It seems to be a locals favorite that is also a boaters restaurant as you can get to with a small walk from your boat to the restaurant. We visited on a Sunday around 3PM and it was crowded! Hardly a seat anywhere inside or outside. It was a beautiful day, so we wanted to eat outdoors. Luckily we were able to sit at a very small tight 2 top against the wall. Not the best seat in the house, but at least we found a table. I also didn't like the fact they had one section (the section I was sitting on) marked as non-smoking, and around the corner of the L-Shaped outdoor seating area was the smoking section because there really was no divider, so if anyone lit up a cigarette you could smell it on the non-smoking side which defeats the whole purpose of non-smoking. I have asthma and cannot be around even the slightest bit of cigarette smoke or it will trigger an asthma attack. So I had a difficult time enjoying my experience outdoors with the constant smoker's lighting up. Other than that, I would go back only because the food is so delicious, but may have to sacrifice enjoying the beautiful outdoors to avoid...
