Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Florida

First of all, the phone orders are being outsourced to another location now so it takes longer for the orders to be ready. Second, the person who took the call did not speak English well so she was difficult to understand and had difficulty taking my order.

Last night I purchased 2 pizzas. One 2 topping for $9.99 and one 3 topping pizza for $11.99. When I was given my receipt for payment it showed another charge of $1.99 for an $11.99 MEAL DEAL. The clerk said I should have just been charged for 3 toppings but the girl who took the call charged me for the meal deal instead. The clerk also said she was unable to do refunds because the Manager had the code for that so she said he would call me today by 11:00 AM if he decided to adjust the charge.

Well, I never heard from the manager so I called him today around 3:30 PM to discuss my issue with the charge. He took his time coming to the phone and he seemed irritated when he did because he was rude and dismissive. His “long story short” explanation for the additional charge was that it is a “coupon” for the MEAL DEAL. I have never used a “coupon” before that added a charge to my bill but Mr. Rude insisted that the total bill was correct. Then he proceeded to say “Good Bye” and abruptly hung up.

Long story short, this is why I decided to post my experience here and NOT to patronize this location AGAIN! I refuse to pay extra for poor customer service from...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Pizza in Lutz – Amazing New Ownership!

I recently visited Hungry Howie’s at 21222 Mariner, Lutz, FL, now under the new ownership of Korey, and I have to say—this place is better than ever!

I ordered a large sausage pizza, cheesy bread, antipasto salad, and cinnamon bread, all washed down with an ice-cold Dr. Pepper. Every single bite was absolute perfection! The pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust, melty cheese, and flavorful sausage. The cheesy bread was loaded with gooey goodness, the antipasto salad was fresh and packed with toppings, and the cinnamon bread? Heavenly! Soft, warm, and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal.

Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. You can tell that Korey and the team truly care about their customers. The staff was welcoming, the restaurant was spotless, and the overall experience was just fantastic.

If you’re looking for delicious pizza and incredible service, this is the place to go. Korey is doing an amazing job, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I dont know what the problem is in your restaurant for delivering at night through door dash but I feel like it must be a party of teenagers that don't want to work. I have ordered from this restaurant 40 minutes before closing. They wait 40 minutes with no confirmation and just wait to cancel the order at closing time. Horrible considering hungry howies used to be one of the fastest in the area to serve up a pie. WOW What a way to throw away money. I SURE HOPE THE OWNER READS THIS AND SEES YOUR DISREGARD FOR THEIR BUSINESS. This is very unprofessional. I've ordered an hour before closing time and still the same scenario happens! This place refuses to honor orders at night which is super frustrating because you're a PIZZA PLACE! I will no longer order from here ever again. I've lived in the area for 35 years and this place has always been great until the last few years. I get it covid happened and operating hours changed but please honor your hours...
