I recently visited the NEW Jack's Shack, a family-owned ice cream spot that blew me away! The shop has recently undergone a beautiful renovation, and the new modern color scheme perfectly complements the original charm of the place. Glacially slow. Completely oblivious to the concept of 'keep the line moving.' Doesn't matter who's working. No visible line yet it takes 20 minutes to make a shaved ice? Because of making rolled ice cream for other people. Then it was my turn and I ordered and paid. Did she make it then? Nope! Took the orders of every single person behind me first. It was another 10 minutes. And this was after the first time I came in, waited 10 minutes to order, then was told it would be another 20 until I got my flavored ice. FLAVORED ICE. Literally ice in a cup with flavor poured over it that takes 20 seconds. Easy orders like those should be filtered into the labor-intensive annoying rolled ice cream fad orders. I canceled my order and left that day, and should've done that today. Needless to say, I will not return. RIDICULOUS.

EDIT: They say, "Every guest is served in the order their ticket is placed to ensure fairness," but they don't do that: my order was "served" after they took several other orders. Again, my statement stands that the "order" of things at this place is ridiculous and...
