Katana Japanese Express (Riverview) — Restaurant in Florida

The place is CLEAN! The staff followed Covid-19 food safety and cleaning protocol like no other place I've seen lately. Hand sanitizers and cleaning sprays are out. Everyone is wearing masks. They even have sanitized and dirty boxes for pens. Major props to the staff and management for taking the people's safety seriously.

The food was great too. My fiance got the chicken teriyaki lunch special, I got the Katana House special fried rice, and we shared a rainbow roll. Everything was delicious. I'm not sure if they're team Coke or Team Pepsi. I didn't notice but I will say the soda was ok. If they're team Pepsi then that would explain it lol. I really appreciate the fact that they gave me a plate and plastic fork so I could cut down the meat for my child. That was really nice of them.

I saw the high rating and was like hmm we will see. We came in 30 min before closing and got in and out in 15-20 minutes. This food is delicious. We got hibachi combo - steak and shrimp and hibachi salmon. YUM!!!!! We got one soup and one salad. And both - wow. The ginger dressing has more flavor than your normal ginger dressing you get at other places. The clear broth soup- wow. Depth of flavor. We also ordered sashimi and an order of shrimp shumai. I wasn’t sure what the shumai was and she said it was their version of a dumpling. Again - yum. Different than a potsticker dumpling but very tasty. The amount of food you get for the price is phenomenal!! On top of that the quality was well above my expectations. If your thinking of eating here for sushi it is 100% worth your time and money. The salmon was fresh, fatty and melted in my mouth. The rolls were stuffed!! 2 pieces of shrimp/chicken in the tempura rolls per piece (8 piece rolls) where most other restaraunts only have one per piece. The chicken hibatchi had great flavor and large amount of food. The chicken was a little fatty for my taste. The Nigiri was amazing and at only $1 a piece you can't get any better then that.
