#LongReview As a recent lover of ramen, I wish I could leave a positive review here but unfortunately, my boyfriend and I were very disappointed shortly after walking in with the hopes of enjoying some ramen. High reviews alone drove us here. Google and the restaurant door sign both say this restaurant closes at 10pm. We walked in at 9pm and saw maybe 5 people to the left that were placing and waiting for takeout orders, and to the right was the empty dine-in area. The sign at the door asks you to wait to be seated, which we did. First thing I noticed was a table near the door that was not cleared, but I presumed that group had recently left. No biggie. There were 3 young men (staff) at the takeout counter, one was taking an order and the other two were just chatting to each other. All 3 of these guys saw us standing there waiting to be seated however no one greeted us or even said "Hi, welcome, someone will be right with you". They just continued to talk to each other with occasional glances at us (direct eye contact SEVERAL times). After a few moments, my boyfriend went over to ask if the dining room was open, and one of the guys said, very nonchalantly, yes (after looking at his phone)... And offered no other information. I asked if we seat ourselves, and he said someone will seat us. ....OK. We waited another minute or two before a young lady walked over to us with menus, no smile, no greeting, and walked us to sit on the far right side of the empty dining room. When she turned left into that section, she realized she can't sit us there because MOST of the tables had still not been cleared. I was shocked (because thwre is literally no one in the dining area so why is it not cleared??) but stayed silent. She just backtracked with a "oops nevermind" and sat us in a cleared booth by the bar, and walked away. No "your server will be right with you"? OK.... At the bar were about maybe 7 staff members including one of the guys that spoke to us earlier but NO ONE walked over, NO ONE greeted us. NO ONE made a move to clear the very full, dirty tables.. they just engaged in their conversations as if WE were not waiting for service. After a few moments, we decided to leave but not before my boyfriend asked for the manager. At this time, we were both very unhappy. One of the young ladies said she was the manager (I hope that's not true because what a horrible example you're setting for your staff, and I say that as a director of a childcare center #standards), and when my boyfriend began informing her of the lack of attentiveness to guests still walking in to hopefully have a good experience, she said "I understand. We've had a really busy day" and that was her ONLY statement. No apology for the wait, no empathy. Nothing. They all seemed very unbothered by their lack of professional service and as someone who has plenty of experience in the customer service arena, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I get that it's near the end of the night but I am a FIRM believer that the quality of service should be the same as if we were your first customer of the day. Businesses get busy, so I understand. I run a childcare center. I cannot falter on the service I provide to my families and then tell them "Well, it's been a busy day" as a reason or excuse to perform subpar. I never leave a bad review, but this was a moment that I feel leaves a lasting impression for me. And interestingly, I have eaten here before a few years ago (didn't have the ramen though, and that's what I came for this time) and actually had a decent experience. Learning moment for these staff members. QUALITY is always a great impression, from beginning to end. It was my boyfriend's first time here and I hate that HE had to be the one to tell you how horrible the lack of service was, and HE has experience in the restaurant business as a GM. Sorry to say, we will...
Read moreI wish I could give this place 2 stars and a half. By all means, this is GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS !! Pretty much everything here is worth getting and you will never be disappointed with what they serve. BUT, I every time I go in, I seem to have issues with the workers.... And I know it’s nothing personal at all, I just think they need to be trained a little better, so that they are all on the same page !!! I went in, on Friday, August 20. And before I went in, I called ahead (@3:15pm) to and spoke to one of the worker (male) And asked him if they took the app. So that I could pay online because a friend was going to send me a $25.00 gift card. So I asked if they took the gift card through the app and the guy who had picked up said that he thinks they do. I am very by the book, to the letter, and I don’t like to be cheated, lied too, or anything like that and, I told him to ask management to see FOR SURE, if they took it as he didn’t seem sure. He leaves me on hold for a little and comes back and Confirms That They DO, In Fact Take The App Gift Card’s. I ended up getting my $25.00 gift card through email and go to redeem it after.... The server had forgotten about my little sisters drink, and also my soup and didn’t offer us silverware at all. The bill comes and I try to pay with my gift card and the server asks me if I could load it to my Apple Pay.... I told him I had no idea on how to do that and why should I do it if they accepted the gift cards. He said he would go “ask” to see if they did take it. I informed him, telling him I called ahead of time to be sure and then he asked, Are You Sure You Called The Right Location ? I got worried thinking I called the wrong place but When I looked at my phone, I DID, call the right place and I told him I did. Long story short, someone lied and said that they accepted gift cards, and when they were asked to double check or be sure, they “did” and confirmed with management that they do accept it. And turns out they don’t and THEY NEVER DID SINCE THEY OPENED (Per Tiffany) And I am fine if they never took the gift card or not. That didn’t bother me, What bother me was that someone wasn’t truthful and went the extra mile to tell me something that was incorrect and now I am sitting with a bill, that I thought I could pay with through my gift card but they don’t accept “any online payments” What happened online, stays online and until further notice, they will not be accepting gift cards or the app UNLESS, you purchase their gift card, IN THEIR STORES, in person. As I said, the food and drinks are amazing.... But sadly, the service and training, needs a lot more work. I would like to thank Tiffany, at the tea bar, she was pleasant and kind and she understood, apologize where I was coming from and told me that they will get their employees all on the same page. That there are a lot of new workers. Bottom line, Great Food and Drinks, but the experience here, is..... lacking a lot of communication and if you don’t know something for sure, please ask and make sure, your information is correct before telling the customer the wrong thing. It...

Service - quick and prompt, the waiter took my drink and food order almost immediately and left an ample amount of time to get a feel for what I was eating. The server was nice, a little spaced out but made some good recommendations that later in my own opinion are just not for me.
Tea - the tea was the best part of eating here, Kung Fu Tea is a well known brand around the US for good reason. They have a plentiful selection of teas that is a bit confusing first, but you can’t go wrong! The mango green tea was delicious, inquisitive, and refreshing; I was wanting more towards the last slip letting out an ever longing sigh just to get some more. The caramel macchiato slush was exceptional as well; probably one of the best caramel macchiato drinks I’ve had that isn’t from a place named Starbucks! Recommendation would be to come here for the teas alone.
Ramen - To start, I’ve had ramen from about 40 different locations and franchises and boast some of the hardest grading when it comes to my favorite cuisine. I don’t have much to say about the ramen I received but I can start by saying it was bland. The broth used in the spicy tonokusen was distasteful and had no flavor, as it slipped past my tongue, the spices could not adhere to my tastebuds. All the while leaving a underwhelming sense that disappointed me beyond my own expectations. The portion size for the protein was also sad, 2 slices of pork chatsu? Any respectable location serving ramen includes a hearty amount of meat, including but not limited to Ichicoro, Kiwami, Domu, and Sisuru. Although the ramen was not bad, it just wasn’t good nor does it Gardner to $14-16 price tag that follows it. Although the reviews name this place as quality ramen, this is far from...
