I went there today for the first time. I had one of the lunch specials: Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. It wasn't bad, but I can see where this establishment maybe skimped a little to save money. First of all, I got 5 shrimp (as opposed to the typical 6 you get at other places). The shrimp was medium size, cooked just right but wasn't plump like I've had at other places. Second, I got egg fried rice (as opposed to pork fried rice at other establishments). The rice was cooked decent, but was pretty bland. It appeared to me to be "white rice with added soy sauce for color". There were a few pieces of scrambled egg but they weren't generous with the egg. It was just okay but I've had much better locally (read my other reviews). As I was leaving I asked the lady for a side of red sauce. She said "it's in the bag". I again asked, is it red sauce and she then said yes it's in the bag. I looked and only saw duck sauce packets. So I said "is it red sauce or duck sauce" she said "Duck Sauce". I asked for a side of red sauce she quickly said "One Dollar". i paid the extra dollar and got the red sauce. Overall, the best part of the meal IMO was the egg roll. It was tasty and more flavorful then most egg rolls I've had at other Chinese...
Read moreI've been here maybe a dozen times and the food is A L W A Y S spectacular.
The chicken they use for the General Tso's and the Orange Chicken dishes are perfect every time. Nice and crispy on the outside and moist chicken on the inside. (You can also get them not spicy. Which is nice, I guess.)
The dumplings, steam or fried, are also amazing-that sauce is LIT. I tried making it at home and it's a little different than the Cantonese-style sauces I've had with pot stickers in the past.
The soups, appetizers, and egg rolls are always great as well. Overall I really enjoy finding a local chionese place that doesn't flop in any of the...
