I recently had the chance to try King's Roadhouse based on a friend's enthusiastic recommendation. The restaurant left a mixed impression on me, and I'm here to share my experience.
First off, I must say selecting an item was hard, there are so many tasty looking items on the menu, but it was lunch and I decided to go with the Filet Mignon Hoagie sandwich with fries.
Regrettably, I have to confess that my meal fell short of my expectations. The Filet Mignon Hoagie, while visually appealing, lacked the flavor punch I had anticipated. The taste was rather bland, and it failed to capture the essence of what a premium sandwich should be. Surprisingly, even the french fries seemed to boast more zest than the sandwich itself.
However, I do want to emphasize that my review is intended to be as fair and as balanced as possible. King's Roadhouse offers a diverse menu with numerous tempting selections that are still on my radar. While my initial encounter did not warrant a rating higher than 3 stars this time, I am not ready to write off the restaurant entirely. I acknowledge that there still is potential for excellence in other items on the menu.
I definitely will plan to revisit King's Roadhouse in the future, with the hope of experiencing that coveted 5-star culinary delight. It's evident that the establishment has much to offer, and I believe that my initial experience might have been an outlier. Here's to giving it another shot and discovering the hidden gems that may yet earn this establishment a well-deserved rave review.
In conclusion, my first encounter with King's Roadhouse left me with mixed feelings, but I am optimistic that future visits will yield a more exceptional dining experience.
To the folks at Kings Roadhouse, I am entirely sorry I could not give a better rating this time, but I am extremely hopeful my next experience with you will be more like the 5 star experience I...
Read moreAVOID - a management sh!t show. Too many options that are way better managed to accommodate a Friday night.
Wife really wanted to try this place so tried to go there last night - Friday night around 6:30 - was told 15-20 min wait. After over 30 min, we tried to ask their host much longer - he would just ignore you. Another lady helping him told us we have the next table, but waiting for the manager to let them sit us.
So apparently their manager decided to just stop seating people because the kitchen was backed up. Let's make everyone stand in the doorway instead of sitting comfortably - ordering drinks.
After another 15 min, we tried to ask the guy host again to at least sit us so we could order drinks. I explained it had been an hour at that point. He just blew up at us - "I only make $15/hr, what do you want me to do?" "I would just go to another restaurant if I was you." I swear he did.
So we did. Went to a more Was just as busy, but what a difference when a place is properly managed.
That guy in the front has no business in that role as a host.
The manager that came up with the dumb idea to just make every stand in the doorway instead of sitting people so they could at least buy drinks needs a better plan.
Terrible management decision - we would have spent $100 in drinks alone listening to the singer. At one point they had 9 empty tables, and waitresses sitting doing silverware - while the lobby was full of people.
This place will not last with these management decisions and rude hosts being their communicator. Again too many other great options that wont ruin your...
Read moreVery impressed with the cheesesteak. This is the closest thing I've found to a real philly in my 25yrs of being in fl. They even put it on the menu properly with American Cheese not provolone or any other nonsense green peppers Nope this was the real deal, I found myself picking the plate looking for more pieces of meat lol. The only thing that was a little disapointing was the roll. Just a little bit more of a cheesesteak roll and they have it down to a science. If they could get Amorosa Rolls wow I'd eat there every day until my heart stopped lol. No joke great job. My wife and daughter loved it too. Especially the soft pretzel we got for an appetizer. You get 2 nice size pretles and they also just have an amazing taste a real treat to the pallette. I think I'm going to start ordering the pretzels just for take out actually the cheesesteaks to if they offer takeout. If you haven't tried it here you are definitely missing out. I cant believe we have been here 5 yrs and live right around the corner but I don't drink so I didn't realize it's not just a bar. Everyone was very friendly the games were all on just a great comfterable atmosphere. I really can't say enough. As for cost it was $75 for myself my wife and our 8 yr old daughter. When I thought about it though I took my daughter to McDonald's the day before and just for the 2 of us it was $25 and it was horrible so I'd rather pay a little bit more for the great surroundings , smiling faces and some good old comfort food. I definitely give this 5 stars if I could give 10 I...
