Our first visit to L’Olive Restaurant in Venice, Florida, was nothing short of spectacular, and we’re already counting the days until we can return to this local Turkish smart casual gem. Tucked away in a modest shopping plaza, this Mediterranean oasis delivered an unforgettable dining experience that exceeded every expectation, perfectly matching the glowing reviews we’d read beforehand.

From the moment we were seated, the hospitality set the tone for the evening. Our water glasses were promptly filled, and a gracious gentleman welcomed us with a warm smile, inviting us to “sit back and relax.” His genuine warmth made us feel instantly at home, and we later learned he was a part-owner, whose passion for the restaurant shone through in every detail. This personal touch elevated the experience, making it clear that L’Olive is a labor of love.

Our server, Rob, was an absolute standout and a key reason we’re eager to return. His attentiveness was impeccable—always anticipating our needs without being intrusive. Rob’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his enthusiasm for the dishes was contagious. He recommended the perfect pairings, from the vibrant mezze platter to the tender chicken kebab, and checked in just enough to ensure everything was flawless. His outstanding service made the evening feel truly special, and we can’t wait to be welcomed back by him again.

The food at L’Olive is a revelation—fresh, delicious, light, and bursting with flavor and hidden in the lukewarm Venice food scene. Every dish showcased the care and quality of the ingredients, from the creamy hummus drizzled with imported olive oil to the roasted red pepper feta. The flavors were bold yet balanced, reflecting the Turkish and Mediterranean influences with authenticity and finesse. Even the pistachio baklava for dessert, as a kind birthday surprise, was a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch, leaving us savoring every bite. It’s clear why L’Olive’s raving reviews are so consistent—their product and offering are exceptional, delivering a dining experience that feels both indulgent and wholesome.

L’Olive is a true gem in Venice, and our first visit has left us wanting more. The combination of outstanding service from Rob, the gracious hospitality of the staff, and the fresh, flavorful food makes these Wellen park locals immediate loyalists. If you’re seeking a Mediterranean escape with top-notch cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, L’Olive is...

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this Mediterranean-style restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting ambiance that feels both cozy and elegant. The decor—rustic yet refined—evokes the charm of a coastal Mediterranean village, complete with soft lighting and a hint of aromatic herbs in the air.

The service here is impeccable. The staff strikes the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving you space to enjoy your meal. They’re knowledgeable about the menu and offer great recommendations, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP.

Now, onto the food. Every dish is a masterpiece, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The appetizers set the tone with perfectly grilled octopus and a creamy hummus platter, accompanied by freshly baked pita. For the mains, the seafood tagliatelle pasta is a standout—rich, aromatic, and packed with the flavor. The lamb chops, cooked to perfection and seasoned with Mediterranean spices, are equally stellar.

Don’t skip dessert! The baklava is heavenly, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the pistachio gelato is the perfect finale to an amazing meal.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving incredible food in a cozy setting, this Mediterranean gem is a place you'll want to return to again and again. A true...

It is very rare that I give a rave review. This place 100% deserves it!! 👏 For 7pm I was a bit worried when there was only 6 tables full. Boy was I wrong! With one waiter for the whole restaurant he kept everything running smooth and we did not have to wait for service not once. My husband and I ordered the octopus and Kehba for appetizers, if this was a prequel for the meal we were about to have it was a big hit. Octopus was tender and delicious with two different sauces, a potato and side salad. The Kibbeh (stuffed ground beef) was seasoned beautifully! Also accompanied with a salad side and tzatziki. Moving on to the mains course, and real highlight of the meal! My husband had the Adana Kebab, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Lamb Chop entree that came with a grilled tomato, cracked wheat bulgur pilaf and shishito pepper. As I love lamb I was pleasantly surprised, it exceeded my expectations! The sweet and salty grill glaze was unexpected, which in the end had me eating it off the bone! I will say I would have expected these flavors from a fine dining restaurant, not a smaller place next to windixie. It is a true declaration not to judge a book by its cover. The chef came out half way through our meal to check the front of house. Such a humble man. I will be recommending this place to whomever I meet!

Friday 5/31, reservations at 6:30. Nice spot, beautiful interior with nice ambience - don't let the strip mall location fool you. Service was pretty good but I felt like the server kept trying to clear the table prematurely, taking plates and offering boxes before we were even finished. We didn't notice anyone waiting and there were plenty of open tables. The food, while pricey, was VERY good; actually, it's probably fair to say it's above average for the area. We had the wild mushroom ravioli and shrimp linguini, both of which were tasty. Server was quick, as was the kitchen getting the food out. We were seated, ordered, ate and paid in an hour. I actually would have enjoyed staying a bit longer enjoying the the company of my wife (and perhaps a digestif) since the ambience was nice but as stated earlier we felt a bit rushed. Nice place, not in everyone's price range, but nice with good food, and a good atmosphere.
