I have been visiting this specific McDonald's in Englewood, Florida from May of this year (2023) to the current month of September, and for the most part, their service and my treatment, has been alright. However, recently, that changed a bit, when I was served by an employee, whom I hadn't been served by, before. The employee was a medium height, slightly overweight, blonde white woman, who may be approximately fifty three years old. She seemed to be pleasant at first, but then snapped at me, when I requested a receipt, for my purchase. I will be doing my best, to avoid this particular restaurant, in the future.
I felt that I should add an additional review, of the atmosphere of this particular McDonald's franchise, today, on November 12, 2024. As I had mentioned in my previous review, above, the service within this McDonald's franchise, has been fairly prompt, respectful, and friendly, but today's experience, proved to be the exception to this trend. In my previous review, above, I had stated that I would be avoiding this specific McDonald's franchise in the future, and that is what I've been doing, since I wrote the review, however, I was walking a long distance today and I chose to drink a cup of water in this McDonald's franchise. The young woman (a short to medium height, slim, white woman, who is blonde and has blue eyes) who answered my questions at the register, stared at me, wore an uncomfortable expression upon her face, and hesitated to speak with me. In addition, she watched me, prior to speaking with me, with a look of suspicion on her face. As if this interaction were not insulting enough, while I was filling my cup in the beverage dispensing area, I was subjected to more staring, by a short, overweight, white woman (who had gray hair), wearing glasses and a sleevless top, who glared at me. I must admit that this was puzzling, because I hadn't said or done anything to her, or her young granddaughter who sat at the table alongside her. Her incessant staring began to insult, aggravate, and annoy me, which caused me to glance at her.
Following this uncomfortable few minutes, I walked to a table, to the rear of where this woman was sitting, and I sat down upon its seat. I simply remained seated, and drank my water, as this extremely rude woman turned around three times, and watched me. In a few minutes, she got out of her seat, looked at me with an extremely hostile facial expression, whispered to her granddaughter, and then both she and her granddaughter left the restaurant. Unfortunately, these ugly incidents seem to happen to me with troubling frequency, here in Englewood, Florida during the reign of Ronald Desantis. I mention Mr. Desantis, as I had in previous reviews during the previous several months, because I wouldn't be surprised, if these women whom I encountered today, are his ardent and loyal followers. Normally, I would not ridicule someone, however, because this older woman treated me with zero respect, I will do the same for her...she is a fat, little troll, whose body resembles a swine, more than a human being, and perhaps she should focus more on her atrocious eating habits (filling her fat, piggish belly with rich foods from McDonald's), and how her eating habits will shorten her life, rather than rudely and angrily staring at a man (myself) who had done absolutely, positively...
Read moreIf I could give this location 0 stars I would! Don't go there when the general manager is there!!!! I went in on Tuesday and had the McDonalds appt and my husband and I ordered a Mcdonald bundle for 3.69 and I ordered a hamburger for 1.39. The order had to be over $5.00 which it is to get the 20% off. The manager said I had to order more so he was nasty when I questioned him. I didn't accurse him I just asked. He got so mean that he said he can't help it is the computer. I then showed him by using my cell phone that my order is over $5.00. In the mean time I ordered small fries even thru I didn't want them!! After showing him that my order is over the $5.00 not counting tax I* said take off the fries. He had the bill up to $8 something. I said this is not right he kicked us of the restaurant and embarrassed us - even yelling and another female said I can't believe you are complaining about 30 cents. She had just walked in. She didn't know anything about what was going on. Another customer said to us outside she must be a friend of the manager. I have never been kicked out of anyplace. For I am a local business owner! I have tried to find a contact number to call the owner. I have gone to thing McDonalds for several years. I have since told people my experience. Plus also the service was slow with one customer ahead of me. I will continue to tell what happened to me. This was very embarrassing. I will see if I can get the owners contact info on Facebook or call McDonalds Corporation. So stay away. There was a real nice female manager for, I think, several years. Never had any trouble. So I guess you aren't to complain when being...
Read moreMy apologies for this long winded review but after working half my life in food service and retail I am absolutely apalled.
I placed an order online for a Big Mac, quarter pound burger, 20 piece nugget, and a medium fry. I tried the app out for the first time, it failed to relay to the restaurant that I was there so I walked in. I was greeted by a service member that couldn't identify my order by the food purchased after showing my cellphone receipt. I gave them my last name for the order. Stumped, the service member asked me to wait as she reached out to a manager. The slick haired manager greeted me with grimace and asked again to see my order and began checking bags on the line. After rifling through my bag and returning with a grimace he arrogantly stated that at McDonald's my name is Mark, not Sullivan. The crew laughed and I'm glad everyone had a good time about it but being patronized at a McDonald's isn't exactly the highlight of my day. It would have been a little more comedic if the food was hot too.
Awful customer service and if I were still managing stores I'd have all of you involved retrained and written up. It's a shame that your management is so unprofessional. Clowns make 37-97k a year and I'd suggest changing professions if you treat all your...
