SCAMMERS, HORRIBLE SERVICE, UNACCEPTABLE FOOD. I would give it ZERO stars. On Tuesday January 23rd my friend and I stopped in to mugs and jugs to grab a quick lunch because we were in the area and it was conveniently located. My husband and I had been there once before and were certainly anything but impressed with the service and the food. Silly me, I thought we'd take another chance at it as it's been almost 3 years. Sara, our server was in no hurry to get to our table but eventually did make it there. We placed our order for our drinks and she retrieved those for us. When she came back to the table we were ready to order. I ordered the half sandwich and cup of soup on a lunch special for $6.29. I ordered the turkey sandwich and potato soup. My server asked me what kind of cheese I would like on my sandwich and I told her Swiss. I also asked if I could have thousand Island on my sandwich. (Mayonnaise contains raw eggs and I'm allergic to raw eggs.) My friend ordered a salad with chicken on it. She asked for French dressing. When our food came out I was shocked to see how tiny my half sandwich was. It was on the smallest piece of bread I could have imagined about an 1.5" by 4". The piece of cheese on there was about an inch wide and it only had about a quarter of a teaspoon of thousand island dressing on it. I could barely see it. My friend had received two containers of we were told was French dressing. It did not look or taste like french. I used a little on my nearly naked sandwich. The soup was not really soup. It's like someone cooked a bunch of potatoes chopped them up a little bit threw a few crumbles of bacon and a few shreds of cheese in it. It was more like lumpy paste. I could not eat it. Our server was inattentive and never even checked back with us. At the end of our meal, we sat at our table for 12 minutes trying to get the server's attention for our check. When I finally received the bill I noticed that I was charged 65 cents for wing sauce!?!? I asked the server what that 65 cents was for one she says it was for the thousand Island dressing on my sandwich. I explained to her that there was barely a quarter of a teaspoon of dressing on my sandwich and I had to use my friends salad dressing. She said she would have "them" take it off. I watched her walk to the register and do some tapping in and she came back with another check. There was no "them" it was just "her". Sara removed the 65 cents charge for the dressing BUT SHE ADDED 80 CENTS FOR THAT LITTLE TINY 1 INCH BY THREE AND A HALF INCH SLIVER OF CHEESE ON MY SANDWICH even though the menu said it came with cheese on it and she had even asked me what kind of cheese I wanted. Either she was pulling some scams or the management is. I think this is a pretty stinky and dishonest way to do business. Twice we have given this place chance and it was twice too many times. It's a shame as this place has potential. We will...
Read moreIt is rare that I order Uber Eats because of the extra charges that are part of the cost, which I understand, having been a delivery driver before. With that being said, I gave Mugs and Jugs a try, as I am new to the neighborhood. If this food was a representation of their menu, I will never eat there again, period. I ordered the ribs, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese. I'm a huge fan of all three of these, or I would not have ordered them. The macaroni and cheese was worse than Stove Top macaroni, and it did not have a consistent color to it. It's either going to be yellow, white, but not something in between. It lacked cheese, it lacked flavor, it lacked seasoning. It was just awful. The baked beans, I'm not even sure I can say they were baked beans. Baked beans have a consistent color, consistency, and a taste to them. These baked beans were somewhere between tart and tangy, and even adding brown sugar and other substances to it to improve the taste did not help very much at all. I will say, I ordered ribs that were supposed to have a sauce mixed with them. I'm not even sure where the sauce is, but the ribs were falling off the bone, and it took this meal from a two to a four. I am unsure if I will give them another time or another opportunity to improve themselves. I have been told their wings are better, but this food was atrocious. Not sure if it's the cooks or...
Read moreWe are from Michigan and were traveling thru town on 4/21/2018 wanted a burger so We stopped at Mugs & Jugs. We called in a take out order for 2 Classic Hamburgers. 1 deluxe(mayo, lettuce, tomato), 1 with mayo, ketchup, pickle. When I ordered the waitress that took the order didn't know what deluxe was, so I told her. That should have been my first clue to second check what we were going to get on the burgers, but no I had faith. She could handle 2 minor Hamburg orders...so wrong. We picked up the order, went to the far end of the parking lot to enjoy our meal to find both burgers exactly the same, lettuce and tomato on the burgers and packets of mayo in the bag. So I called to find out and the waitress that checked the ticket said both were ordered with mayo, lettuce, tomato and 1 with pickle, but neither had pickle on the burger. You get a pickle spear and coleslaw with the burger and your choice of fries or chips. We both had fries but there was no ketchup in the order for the fries either. I mean, either train people or let them know they aren't waitress material for goodness sakes. I was a waitress, everyone makes mistakes but this one was so simple its maddening. And the person that took my call to ask about didn't offer any apology or remedy. Great way to lose business. Poor owner losing money because employee can't be bothered to give a hoot about...
