Update it's 11:15 and no one is there. Obviously there have been no improvements since I last tried this place two years ago. Go somewhere else!!
Well, the first time I ordered from here was for work lunch. I work across the street. So I order 2 lunches and an appetizer.
I pick up my order and get back to work to find one of my meals is not there. I call back. I'm frustrated because I now have to leave work again and go back so my manager can eat.
The woman argues with me that I didn't order what I ordered. I literally read it off of a paper and repeated myself more than once while I was ordering. She tells me no you didn't order that, several times.
I go back to get the food. She charges me full price. That is ridiculous. You inconvenienced my work day. Argued with me, first time customer, then charge me full price for your mistake.
Now to be honest, the food was pretty good... But I can't overlook that terrible customer service. I will go to one of the many other Chinese restaurants in the area before I go here again.
*My manager has attempted to order several times. They open at 11. We called several times today and they didn't answer the phone until 1145am. She asked what happened and they can't understand you. They say they open now. Too bad I would need to order at the time you're supposed to open in order to get lunch during our lunch time.
This establishment is a joke....
Read moreI'm not local to palm city but my job brought me up this way and i am a big fan of trying small local restaurants. I stopped at publix in the same shopping center and saw it. Looked up its google reviews and saw nothing to dissuade entice me to eat but i saw online their menu had mixed egg drop/wonton soup so i figured id try it out. I ate a small mixed soup and a mongolian beef meal with fried rice and an egg roll.
Soup: nothing special. Basically egg drop soup with 2 won ton balls dropped in. My usual place throws in pork and green onions. Theirs is much better. This wasnt bad but wasn't great.
Egg roll: it was basically a large spring roll as it had very little protein and a ton of cabbage. Disappointing.
Fried rice: every place ive been to gives you at least pork fried rice . My usual gives me special. Heres its just fried rice... some egg included. Thassit. Taste is ok but i want pork, ham etc on it
Mongolian beef: good taste. Decent portion. Best part of meal.
Overall: wouldn't recommend. Wont come back. Wouldnt frequent if i lived in area. Its also more pricey for a strip mall chjnese place.
Service: wasnt bad but wasnt friendly as other mentioned. I think its a...
Read moreListen, best sesame chicken hands down. Quality food is exceptional. I've tried China Garden a few times..I gave them there chance. But that food is GARBAGE in comparison to NY CHINESE. My only gripe is that I wish they would implement delivery. That would be perfect. From what I can tell, it's a family owned business. There son answers the phone pretty much 99% of the time and he speaks very clearly. Sometimes you'll get the mom on the line when you call and her English isn't the best which can cause some frustration. It is what it is. But that tiny bit of hassle is well worth it when it comes to the food. I've never...NEVER had a bad meal from them. The only bad thing I can say is that there fortune cookies have been stale the past couple times I've gone lately. Other than that, I have no complaints. China Garden should be ashamed of the food they try to push out when there competitor NY CHINESE haven't served a bad meal to me in all the years I've been ordering from them. Times are tough and wish all the best to them. Thank you for each and every food coma your food has put me in. Keep on serving up that quality food I've come to...
