Pizza Deli & Company — Restaurant in Florida

It's the most annoying Pizza place ever...it has the best pizza though; I mean the pizza is amazing, and so are the calzones, but trying to order is a headache. The best way to describe this place is a Schene from the show Seinfeld. to start the lady that picks up the phone tries to talk you out of placing an order by giving you ridiculous wait times "more than an hour and a half for a pie when you finally are willing to wait, the delivery driver is literally like Newman and won't deliver giving lame excuses like he was sick. I showed up for pickup 30 mins later and he was there just hanging out laughing with the rest of the staff not sick at all and the place was slow. so, I gave the place a break for a month and went early in the day 2 weeks ago and I must say I got a work of art of a calzone it was amazing. The tall guy that was there was professional and great, so the other day I show up later in the evening to order a calzone, different person a young lady tells me there's a wait of 35 mins for a calzone again talking me out of doing business there. I'm going to be honest, that the food is amazing however something is off there. either the staff feels like every customer isn't important or they are very arrogant. I would order much more if this place would change in how it treats its customers especially when they live blocks away...I gave this place 5 stars simply because the food is very good, fresh, and for the tall guy that makes the pizza. I write this out of frustration because of my experiences with this place. forgot to mention... they only sell large pies yet don't sell 2 liters only cans.... bizarro world at this place. but again.......

I have ordered from this place a few times already. The meat lovers calzone is amazing and easily big enough to feed two. My last experience with them was by far the most dramatic but it just goes to show you how amazing their customer service is. Me and my girlfriend had ordered a calzone and mozzarella sticks for delivery and was told it was going to be about an hour. After a little over an hour the restaurant called me back saying that the delivery driver had been in an accident and they didn't have a back up driver. So they asked if I would want to pick up the food myself or cancel the order and refund my money. We opted to go and pick up the food and we get there and the staff is super apologetic. They gave us free drinks while they got our food with refills to go and even threw in an extra order of mozzarella sticks on the house. After searching for New York style pizza for a very long time, I finally came across pizza that is even better than I remember NY pizza to be. This pizza was incredible! The sauce was perfect - tangy, salty and a tiny bit sweet. Best pizza sauce I’ve ever had! It has to be home made and by someone who probably guards the recipe in a vault. The amount of cheese is exactly what should be on a pizza - not too much and not too little. In fact, I would recommend that you not ask for extra cheese. Trust them they have it right. And did I mention the garlic knots? OMG! I am very very picky and there was NOTHING I would change! Where have they been all this time! I give it 10 stars! They have my attention... You must...
