Redds Pub 3906 Hwy 98 W Unit 1 — Restaurant in Florida

The good and the bad… My family went to this restaurant because it had great rating and looked tasty online. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was crazy but fun. We appreciated the craziness of the singing bartender and the insane decor on the walls. We’re down for a good time!! BUT our food took just short of 2 hours for 4 people. The place was full, and I am never one to complain, but the wait was insane. 2 of our 4 people got their food and finished their meals before the other 2 got ours. My moms burger bun was toasted, but cold and soggy to the touch. Meat was hot, though. My food took the full 2 hours to get, and it was just nachos. I got the brisket nachos and the brisket was so skimp and dry my mom through they were onion straws. Pretty pricey for what I got. Our drinks were also rather unimpressive… couldn’t taste the alcohol at all. Which is whatever, not a biggie. But not ideal. Redd was very very kind, she covered our drinks and even gave us a slice of pie to go. It was obvious she felt very bad about our wait. She tried to keep us updated during our wait. She had voiced during her performance it had been a tough week. I feel for the woman, truly. You can tell she is a fun and kind woman. We didn’t comment on the food while there because we had no time to wait around to any types of fixes to the meal after already waiting 2 hours. They had enough going on there. Only 2 workers with a full house. Other people sitting at the bar said they are regulars and LOVE the place. Maybe we just struck a bad night. A great place,fun environment!! Red is off the chain with a personality that jumps out makes comfortable. She sings to the crowd while making cocktails, taking food orders, serving her guest guite a conversationalist, who knew someone could do so much at one time. Tim and I met her a couple of years ago and and search juror out this evening was amazed to see her with that big beautiful smile and remember just like it was yesterday. Can't wait to see her in the next coming days, if you're out this way go down 38 till you hit Red's fueling station . During the day they make lunches to go out of there convenience store, and by night it's a restaurant with very good food my favorite is bacon wrapped garlic roasted to perfection got to try it!! Almost ten years strong this unique dining and entertainment experience will be the highlight of your visit to South Walton. Cultivating "dive" culture like a beneficial bacteria the decor is one of a kind hodge podge of signs, 49ers memorabilia, wigs, props and random new surprises weekly! We usually enjoy one of the amazing cauliflower pizzas with the occasional foray into the jalapeno popper burger which started it all. Make sure to attend on a night with a "t" and Redd, the owner, bartender, head chef, hostess, scheduler, and bookkeeper sings while bartending AND waiting tables! This is the perfect place for couples, small groups and caged children. Reservations not required but highly recommended as is cash for tipping and song requests. If you're reading this and sitting in front of a gas station, it's around back. Don't poke the locals and buy them a beer....
