Rooney's Public House — Restaurant in Florida

Run, run far, far away!!! We stopped in because it wasn’t busy(first mistake) we waiting a couple minutes for hostess to clear a table. Once seated we had our entire bar and food order ready when the server came(same person to clean table and seat us; clearly short staffed but we are patient peeps) once seat and ordered a 3 other tables around us came & amazing we’re receiving drink we’ll before we had so we ask about out can beer and 1 red wine…20 mins later nothing🤦🏻‍♀️ we finally Received our food( before the drinks from 32 mins earlier) fish and chips & chopped grilled chicken salad. When I say NO Don’t please take heed. Package salad dressing warm, grilled chicken cardboard I had 3 forced bites and couldn’t any more. The Hubby (storm trooper) forced the frozen planks of fish and fries down the hatch but I’m sure he will pay for this once we are back in TX! We felt compelled to warn the innocent trying to enter to go away! horrible!! We paid our bill trying hard not to punish the wait staff but something had to be done so we unfortunately cut our tip in half…rather than storm out w/o paying or something more appropriate. Sadly, I compel you to save. your $$$ for Burger King if headed to...

You know it's bad when every other table is complaining loudly about the poor service. I think communication goes a long ways, and the employees didn't communicate what you would normally expect at a place like this. I would have been okay with that if it wasn't branded as an Irish pub with a bar and low-lighting. I noticed multiple tables with a ton of abandoned food left on plates, which is never a good sign. I wasn't helped for several minutes which was also the experience of another table (they approached the hostess and asked if they were supposed to order at the bar). At one point, a group angrily stormed out, citing poor service. I had to approach the bar to get my bill and pay. Despite the non-existent service and lack of effort put into customer service, I will add a star because I was able to order a nice tuna salad (I'm gluten free) and the price was pretty reasonable considering it's an airport (however, the price on the receipt was higher than the price on...

I asked before being seated how long it would take to get my food. I was told ten minutes by the hostess. It took 20 from the time of my order and it was wrong. I ordered a burger with no bread and to substitute a side salad for fries. The burger was fine but the salad served was a house salad (additional extra charge from just a substitution) which included bacon...I am allergic to bacon. I am cutting tight for a flight and it's now 30 minutes and the order hasn't been corrected and I have not received my check ( requested 3 times so I could pay before I completed the meal).
