Went In to pick up a GrubHub order The restaurant had not even received my order and I had to give it to someone to go and start preparing the order 20 minutes after it shouldâve been received , It was a place in pay order, and Then my GrubHub card was not working. I contacted GrubHub and they informed me the order would have to be canceled . So I informed who I later found out was the general manager that the order would have to be canceled and she proceeded to ask me what she was supposed to do with the food , Almost insinuating that I should pay for it . To which I responded, I just work for GrubHub I am not monetarily responsible for this order, im sorry my Corporate GrubHub card is not working. The general manager, then proceeded to tell me that they do not accept GrubHub orders, to which I responded Thatâs funny considering I have a place and pay GrubHub order on my phone screen right now for your restaurant. She then proceeded to ask me for GrubHubâs phone number so that she could âreport this issue âbecause itâs been happening all too often . I let her know that It wasnât my fault, and GrubHub would be reaching out to her regarding the issue that I would be giving her no such information due to her rude nature during our transaction. She then tried to tell me that she wasnât rude to me. I walked out after that. Iâm just a GrubHub driver . I canât imagine how I wouldâve been treated if I were a customer in house who had a similar problem. At this point Youâve lost a customer, I have previously been In personally to enjoy food, and had none issue. Not to mention, I was robbed of an hour of my time and only got paid three dollars For all the work I did just for the order to...
Read moreFor many years now I have been taking my Mom to Sam's St Johns Seafood for All You Can Eat crab legs for her birthday. The location near The Villages, Florida closed recently so luckily there was another location about 45 minutes further north. So expectations were high that we would have a good experience.
They offer this AYCE special on Mondays. We arrived at 2pm and were excited to see the AYCE Crab Legs sign out front, then we found the restaurant well lit, clean and had only a few tables occupied. Our waitress, her name was Beth, arrived promptly to get our drink orders. Now just to let you know my Mom and I are serious crab leg eaters...lol. I told Beth that there was a good tip in it for her if she could keep up with us by keeping our plates full of refills.
The food arrived looked amazing and the crab legs were large, hot and not soggy...perfectly cooked, this was the same for every refill as well. We just love when you snap the main part of the leg and the meat just slides out in one piece. As we kept eating legs we saw many other tables come and go...lol. Beth kept our plates and our drinks full and our butter fresh. Two and a half hours later we finally admitted defeat and asked for our check. Needless to say Beth earned her large tip as promised.
Sam's has many other delicious seafood offerings and I highly recommend this restaurant to all seafood lovers. You won't be...
Read moreHorrible experience. Won't go back! I made the mistake of asking for a booth instead of a table on a Monday night. Our server (Beth, the Manager) didn't appreciate that. She was unpleasant from her first interaction with us. It only got worse when my platter for one arrived to the table room temperature. I didn't want to eat room temperature fried oysters, so I asked them to fix it. They didn't want to fix it but they did drop my seafood back into the grease and re-fry it until it was dark, hard and extra crunchy. I didn't want to eat that either so I asked that my meal be remade. I then changed my mind and decided to just cancel my order. I've never done that before but I've also never had service that screamed leave now and never come back. I went to Wendy's. It wasn't what I originally wanted to eat, but it felt safe! We paid $119.00 for three appetizers, three sweet teas and two half eaten meals. When we got home both my husband and my son had severe stomach issues from their meals. I'm glad I listened to my gut instinct and ate a Wendy's burger. Most people know that every restaurant will occasionally have a bad night where nothing goes right. Great management knows how to treat customers even on those bad nights. This isn't one of those...
