We came down to Sam Snead’s from north Naples to visit friends on the East Trail. In a nutshell it was one of the best meals and evenings we’ve had in the last several months. Everyone of our dishes from the starts to the mains were absolutely delicious. Two of us had the halibut, serviced with risotto. Excellent flavor and the fish done perfectly. I had forgotten how risotto tastes when it’s done just right. Another member of our party had the salmon and again perfectly done, flaky, great crust and not over cooked. Finally the fourth member had the crab cake and have to say they were good as any crab cake dish we’ve had on either Florida coast. Growing up in the Midwest who can resist a wedge salad. And the one they served was nearly perfect, and how I love real bacon bits. I also want to complement the restaurant for the great service. Our waiter timed everything well so we never felt rushed. He was always there if we needed anything. I will tell you Sam Snead’s is absolutely worth the drive. We will be...

They all said we want to go to Sam Sneads in Lely.
There’s no traffic. It’s a relaxed setting. The location is great. The parking is Great. The food was great. The view overlooking the golf course and sunset was beautiful. The Happy hour is great. The price is right. The service was amazing as we had four people catering our table of seven. We never had to wait for a fresh drink, food, or our water glasses to be refilled. They didn’t miss a trick. Even the manager came over to the table to introduce himself and ask if everyone was happy. True professionals.
Sam Sneads is consistent, consistent, consistent.

Read moreThey have a new Management and they raised the prices to the point where it’s outrageous. There are some discounts in the bar during happy hour, but it was a little noisy the day We were there so we decided to sit in a restaurant which is next to the bar area. There was nobody in the restaurant and I understand why. Because the prices were outrageous. There’s no discounts you can eat for half the price in the bar area then you can in the restaurant The servers were very apologetic because they know it’s a mess. There were five servers standing around with nothing to do because there was nobody in the restaurant. We spent $180 for 3 people with one of meals being a hamburger. We could have gone to Fifth Avenue and had a great dinner for less than that. The restaurant will not survive the summer unless they change. The word is out to the summer Lely people...
