We hadn't been here in years, and boy things have changed. We went for the all you can eat on Sunday. The service was awful and the dining room was hot. My girlfriend ordered fried shrimp with a salad and baked potato. The salad came out fast with a tiny to-go cup of ranch. She immediately asked for another side of dressing. It was almost 20 minutes before server returned with our food, but no dressing. She asked for her dressing again, and more butter for her potato. 10 minutes later, the server returned with more dressing, but not more butter. The fried shrimp was under cooked and soggy, and had no flavor. My stone crab claws had obviously been pre-cooked and probably microwaved. The meat was flavorless, dry and stuck to the inside of the shell. Each plate came with 3 hushpuppies and french fries. The fries were ok, however the hushpuppies were hard enough to crack a platter wall. She was so turned off by her food, she ate one under cooked shrimp and was done. I ate two crab claws and gave up. I tried to power through it, but it was so bad I just couldn't do it to myself. The server came over and asked if everything was ok after 35-40 minutes. Obviously we had not eaten very much, and I was honest. I told her we were not thrilled, and very unhappy with everything. She asked if she had done a good job, and my girlfriend pointed out she still had not returned with her butter. The server walked away, and I presumed she was going to get a manager. After another 20 minutes with no attention, I became frustrated and walked to the hostess and asked for a manager. Fairly soon after, the hostess returned without a manager and told us she was going to take care of everything and to have a good night. I offered to pay, and was given a blank stare so we just left. If we had been offered something different, I would've happily paid for it. Nobody cared about our experience. If there was a manager on duty, they weren't concerned enough about us to pay our table a visit. We're crossing this place off our list and will...

Horrible experience!. We bought a whole fish at the store attached to the restaurant — specifically asked for an uncut fish with the head. The staff member, who was cutting fish into fillets for the display, sold us one that hadn’t been cut yet. As a result: the fish turned out to be rotten. A strong smell of manure and decay came from the head and inside the fish, filling the entire kitchen and house. We wasted $50.

Be aware: all the fillets displayed for sale are cut from the same fish, and if the whole fish is already decomposing, the fillets will be of questionable quality as well. It is absolutely unacceptable to sell rotten products at such high prices in a place that positions itself as a high-quality restaurant/store by the sea. Selling rotten fish is a disgrace. It is completely unacceptable. It presents a real risk of severe food poisoning and, in some cases, even death. It is terrifying to imagine what could have happened if we had eaten this fish.

A store located right next to the sea yet unable to provide even basic freshness — this is outrageous. Service is non-existent. Product quality is disgusting. I strongly advise against buying anything from this place. Total disappointment and complete lack of...

We went there for dinner with a a party of seven, 4 adults and 3 children. We ordered food at seven thirty and asked to have the children's as soon as possible. We ordered soups and dinners. The Conk Chowder was very bland, and the clam chowder should have been called clamless chowder, it was only cream broth. 3 of the 4 dinner salads served were very good, my wife's was wilted and warm and disgusting. at nine o'clock, we started to complain wanting to know were are dinners were. People at other tables were coming and going. The waitress was very nice, coming up with many reasons we weren't getting our food. When the food finally arrived, it was not hot, it must have sat for a while. One of the children's food didn't arrive until way after everyone got their food. I had the seafood combo of coconut shrimp and clams. Maybe it was greasy because it was served warm, but it was not good. My wife had broiled BASA fish, which she returned because it was cold. In general, everyone said they would not go back there because it wasn't good and the service was horrible. The manager did give us 25% off the check, I think they should have comped the whole meal because they ruined...

had the pleasure of trying their Cajun fried shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and juicy, flavorful interior. The Cajun seasoning added just the right amount of spice, making each bite a delightful experience. The portion size was generous, and the shrimp were fresh and succulent. The restaurant itself has a casual, laid-back atmosphere, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. While the seafood was the star of the show, the sides were also tasty and complemented the main dish well. Overall, Skip One 41 is a great spot for seafood lovers, and I highly recommend trying their Cajun fried shrimp. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu!

My husband and I went here on a Friday night. We did have a bit of a wait, but it was totally worth it!! Even though they were packed there was still more than enough parking and they had several places to sit out front while waiting. Once sat, our service was above fantastic! We couldn't decide on which chowder to try. Upon suggestion from our server we tried the 'half and half', a bit of both mixed, I highly suggest a big bowl of this!!. It was SO good!! The calamari was fried just right and had a nice thin breading. We also got the Skip one Platter blackened style..all of the food was cooked Perfectly! You Must try the scallops and the half-n-half chowder!!! Such great seafood choices and the price was not bad at all for the freshness!! We will be back for sure!
