SHOCKINGLY AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS BURGER! I'm embarrassed to admit I was skeptical. I'm a burger snob, and cheese is a very big part of the equation. Being a kosher restaurant, I knew the beef quality at Smash House would be top notch but the cheese would have to be vegan (in retrospect, American cheese isn't even really cheese to begin with, so I don't know what I was so worried about.) I was hesitant because I've been unimpressed with vegan cheese in the past, but the stellar reviews convinced me to give this trendy burger joint a try. I am so glad that I did! I was immediately greeted by the GM, Elior, who was extremely helpful and friendly. I could tell he takes immense pride in his restaurant, which has a great vibe inside. I decided to try the double cheeseburger and a side of crispy onions, and neither disappointed! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection, with the signature smash-burger crispy edges that I dream of! And as for the vegan cheese? I never would have known it wasn't traditional American. It was melty, creamy, savory perfection on top of the burger and seeping into the soft buttery bun. I've never had a better smash burger (and I've tried many!) The crispy onions were every bit as impressive with their thin lacey cut and savory, perfectly seasoned crispy batter. There wasn't a single soggy one in the bunch, which is impressive considering how delicate and tender the onions were. They needed nothing to be the perfect accompaniment to the burger, but Elior surprised me once again with an array of sauces which made the crispy onions even more delectable! I have never come across such delicious sauces at a burger restaurant, or any fast casual eatery. They truly are perfect to dip in and made me sad that I didn't make a pig of myself and order fries in addition to the onions. Seriously, these sauces are good enough to dip your fingers in for lack of fries! Smash house will definitely be my new go-to burger joint, and they even cater, so I plan to spoil my friends with this treat next time I host a party or a work event. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to any Boca resident who is craving an...
Read moreAs a self-proclaimed foodie and connoisseur of all things delicious, I must confess: Smash House Burgers and More in Boca Raton is a gastronomic wonderland that’s like a secret handshake among the burger elite. Nestled in the charming shell of an old fish restaurant, this gem serves up a fusion of old-world charm and a foodie’s delight, complete with wood paneling, cozy booth tables, and a whimsically unused bar that whispers tales of yesteryear.
Let’s talk about the Dirty Fries, shall we? Oh, these aren’t just any fries. They’re a culinary rebellion, a fry uprising, if you will. Topped with pulled brisket that’s so tender it practically serenades your taste buds, and a chef’s special sauce that’s the stuff of secret midnight cravings.
Then there are the Popcorn Chicken Bites – the Clark Kent of the menu. At first glance, simple, unassuming. But take a bite, and BAM! Superhero flavors in a crispy cape, with a choose-your-own-adventure sauce option. Inside or out? That, my friends, is the question.
And the pièce de résistance: the Loaded Smash. This isn’t just a burger; it’s a flavor fiesta, a carnival of vegan cheese, beef bacon, caramelized onions, and a bun that deserves its own sonnet. The smash sauce on the side? That’s not a condiment; it’s a nectar of the gods.
In a world of cookie-cutter eateries, Smash House Burgers and More stands out as a beacon of hope for the tastebuds. It’s not just a meal; it’s an edible adventure, a tongue-in-cheek, wink-wink nudge to the foodie in all of us. You don’t just eat here; you experience culinary nirvana, one mouth-watering...
Read moreedit I’m editing my previous review. I’d like to state again the food here is excellent. 5/5. However having just paid $17 for a double smash and $9 for a side of fries; $27 for a burger and fries after tax! I cannot state enough that while the food is great, the value is poor. Understanding kosher ingredients and practices do add a cost, regardless it is tough to justify these prices. I would put the value at a 1/5. So i am amending my previous 5 star review to split the difference between the food quality (5/5) and food value (1/5) to give them 3 stars. Still excellent food, in my case it’s simply too much money for what it is.
Went on Saturday night they opened at 10pm (should update the hours it’s listed as opening at 930 on google). You know it’s good when there is a line of people waiting for them to open at 10pm.
Ordered a double smash and fries.
The burger was excellent, very flavorful juicy. I was worried about the vegan cheese but it tasted great and I couldn’t really tell. Overall an excellent smash burger with high quality meat. Great crust on the burger and good bun. I’ll be coming back just for this.
The fries were also very good and they give you a good amount. Very crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Salted well.
I didn’t love the smash sauce but it wasn’t bad, just not my style. It’s very different than most smash sauces. It had a smoky flavor and darker color, again it was good just not my preference. I’ll try a different sauce next time.
Will definitely be frequenting here it’s fantastic and I...
