South Beach Pavilion Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

MADE A VISIT THIS SATURDAY, COFFEE MACHINE BROKEN, STAFF LOOKED TIRED AND NOT ALL THAT INTERESTED. THE COFFEE THEY DID MAKE FOR ME BY HAND WAS SO POOR I LEFT IT SITTING ON THE TRAY OUTSIDE, AND THE OVERALL APPERANCE OF THE EATING AND SEATING AREA WAS SHABBY AND DARK, TABLES AND CHAIRS OLD AND DIRTY LOOKING AND REALLY NEEDED REPLACING WITH A MUCH MORE COLORFUL SETUP. FOOD OF WHICH WE HAD SOME WAS BELOW BASIC STANDARDS AND IT SEEMED QUITE A CHORE FOR THE STAFF TO MAKE. SO, AM I VISITING HONEYMOON ISLAND AGAIN, OH YES, BUT NOT, REPEAT NOT THE SOUTH BEACH PAVILION CAFE. PS WITH THE RIGHT IDEAS AND STAFF AND BADLY NEEDED UPGRADES IT COULD BE QUITE A...

It says "pet friendly" right outside....lies I tell you. Girl made me make my wife and our dog,a shih tzu, leave the outside pavilion before she would even take my order. So i had to go outside, say "hey you gotta take the dog downstairs" then go inside and tell her i want a couple of basic cheeseburgers. I understand someone relaying the information like "hey we can't let any dogs out there per state laws" not someone acting like the enforcer...save yourself the headache of dealing with a bratty girl and bring...

This is a great little spot for a bite when visiting Honeymoon Island. I would have given them five stars, but they took away the rotisserie chicken and now they only have burgers and basic grill & fried food. The fish fry is nice on Fridays. I just wish they’d have kept their half chicken meals, as that was such a treat after a long day at the beach! Still a nice group of people, though, and the deck is a relaxing spot to sit in the shade and enjoy a meal...
