I'm not really into writing negative reviews, but this place earned it.

My wife and I walked in on a very slow morning due to red tide. The woman working the counter was scrolling through her phone when we first walked in. It took her a solid 2-minutes before she raised her head and said anything. At this point, I was close to walking back out.

The woman wasn't friendly at all. It was easy to tell that we were a distraction from her phone time. Needless to say, we got an order for a chicken sandwich and a couple of bottles of water placed.

This is where I really got annoyed. When you go to process your payment, they have their machine setup to add a 20% tip. A 20% tip at a place where the woman stands behind the counter, no one brings you your food, and no one is friendly. The sale processed so quickly that the tip slid right through, which I'm sure is exactly what happens to everyone else.

Needless to say, two bottles of water and a tasteless chicken sandwich came to $25. They forgot the lettuce and tomato and don't give you any condiments so you need to ask for every little thing, which of course seems to annoy the person behind the counter.

I also tried to ask about a beer that I would always get while visiting Honeymoon Island in the past. Before I could even get my question out, the woman replied, "we never had that." - Wrong. Anyway, when my wife and I go to Honeymoon next time, we'll bring our own food. This place needs a lesson in attentive customer service and customer service...

We weren't expecting much from this nondescript restaurant, so we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food! I had a tuna melt that was just right. If you like tuna melts, you'll understand. The bread was toasted to perfection, the tuna was not too runny nor too dry with just the right amount of flavor. The cheese was melted just so. I wish I would've taken a picture, because the chef definitely takes pride in his work when he can make something like a simple tuna melt into something to rave about. The veggie burger was deemed delicious, as was the chicken sandwich. I made sure to tell the chef how much we appreciated his skills. The deck had a wonderful breeze, but could've used a bit more screening...

My group of 10 went here Saturday in the rain and cold. It was the first time. We were supposed to hold our meeting somewhere else and it fell through. We saw all the tables and chairs soaked on the patio. No other customers were coming in. I went up to the counter to ask if we could bring the tables and chairs inside just 2 so we could sit.i had towels in the car to dry them. This would have been a great opportunity for them because we all wanted coffee and food and only planned on staying an hour. A couple of people drove from Miami and Port st Lucie. A win for all! You could have had some revenue, tips but very un willing to accept the idea. And we all left in the...

Great food for the price. Best scenery to eat outside that I have seen in a long time. Nice shady balcony to sit on. A cool breeze and a cold drink to get you cooled down from being in the sun for so long. Nice bathrooms inside the gift shop. Lots of accessories just invest you forgot anything and a great selection of beach type gifts that are unique to Honeymoon island. Great prices on hats and cookies. I collect cookies for my home to use by the pool and these always remind me of my times at the beach. When I go I always get the huge burger. It goes great with the salty air.

The primary eating option on Honeymoon Island. Has all the standard options you would expect from an establishment of this kind and a lot of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverage options. Don't set your standards too high and you will be pleased. The best thing about the Cafe may be the view from the outdoor dining area. The outdoor dining area is small and it gets crowded on weekends with limited seating space. Tried the local fish but mostly tasted the oil given how fried it was. Check out the attached photo of the view from the Cafe area of the beach.

That's a $13 to-go burger folks. ($11 but $13 w tip) Pre-frozen patty, no sides. The kind of place that survives because its location allows it to prey on tourists. (And locals who should have grabbed a pub sub beforehand😭🤦‍♀️). The staff was nice enough. The place seemed clean.
