Subway — Restaurant in Florida

I have been here several times and had normal service and food without complaint. This review is not as much about the food but rather the handling of a simple complaint. I visited this location at 9:30 pm on 9-17-18 and my check out time on my receipt was 9:39. I realized shortly after walking in that they were closing up and seemed annoyed by me walking in. There was an obvious sigh frustration from the person sweeping as someone walked in behind me at 9:31. I ordered steak and cheese toasted and, although the service was "blah" when I got home there was unmelted cheese and cold dry steak. No big deal it happens. This is where my complaint comes in. I had to call a number and spend 10 minutes on the phone to be told that somebody would contact me in 48 hours. All I wanted was a refund for a sandwich. When the manager or owner called me she needed a very specific time when I could come in so she could "load a card"?. I had to ask 3 times why I had to be there for her to do that in person and suggest she "loaded" the card and left it for me.. All I wanted was my money back for a subpar sandwich and this process was as difficult as filing taxes. The last, and worst part in my mind, was when I did come to pick up my refund Not only was it issued only for a Subway sandwich, which I don't agree with being forced to use my money to eat at Subway again, but the manager slash owner was there herself and handed me a bag with a card in it with no greeting no apology, and not even a question of why I was dissatisfied. She was the epitome of horrible management. For that reason I will never for this location again nor will I recommended for anybody. Edit...because I used a coupon I was not even awarded a full sandwich. Apparently I had to wait until the coupon was reissued or come out of my pocket to receive what I paid for in the 1st place. This use to be a pleasant place to get a sandwich. No longer however! I'm a senior citizen living on a fixed income so any bargain coupons are important for savings. I was at this location today & there was a sign that indicated coupons were no longer honored here. I asked the young man who approached me for help & I asked about it. He said vaguely that " oh no, coupons are good"....so I started to order & he said: " no, only from left side menu ( cheaper items & sides) Coupons that come in the mail are for left side menu sandwiches. The man was not explaining well at all & seemed dismissive. I asked where the nearest Subway was & he did tell me. I told the guy I don't like peppercorn ranch, he said no problem, when my food was slid over to the girl I said oh ranch as it says RANCH on the bottle. My husband then asked for peppercorn ranch she used the same one. I asked is that peppercorn ranch I don't like peppercorn ranch she said that's not my fault is it kinda rudely, I explained the bottle says ranch not peppercorn ranch.

Then my husband ordered broccoli soup it was kinda cool and separated like watery, my husband said it's gross I don't want to eat this can I please have my money back, he was told no 3 times, the girl heated up the soup more stirring in between, it was SO HOT we both ate our sandwiches and you could still see the steam coming off the soup.
