A couple of coworkers and myself waited several months for the new location to open up at Lockwood Ridge Road in Bradenton. Unfortunately, the price of our lunch ruined the whole experience. I don't mind spending a little more for a sit down lunch as long as the food and atmosphere is positive (Beef O'Brady's is right next door). I'm not saying that the food was bad, nor was it the best steak sandwich around by any means but it was so expensive that it blindsided all three of us. I had the smallest 6" cheese steak, fries and drink for $12.38. My friend had an 8" with sweet potato fries w/a drink, it was over $18 and lastly, the other had a Cuban and drink that was over $12. Between the three of us, we spent 45 bucks for a basic lunch you could get at any other sandwich shop in the area. Amazing to me that the owner feels this is a fair price for this kind of food in this type of environment. Needless to say, we won't be going back. Nor will the other people we work with. All I can say is, good luck surviving the restaurant business with that game plan. I have a hunch you see another business in that space within...
Read moreWent to both Bradenton locations this week. Like my last review I love a quality cheesesteak, and this is the Best!!! Talked to my family in Philly and they were sceptical until I told them about the Amoroso bread!! That sealed the deal for them!!!
So why the 4 stars. This is for the 34th St location, not the Lockwood Ridge. Consistency is key and sometimes there is a different cook in the kitchen and you get a pass. The onion rings were soggy which I hadn't experienced from South Philly before and will stack up to an anomaly.
Will I be back next week? YES Do I mind the extra 7 minutes to go to the Lockwood Location? Not Really Was the Coffee Oreo shake delicious? No it was absolutely Phenomenal!! Was the cheesesteak the star the show? YES But I love my sides!
One thing was better though from the 34th Street shop, they had a variety of chips which I missed at Lockwood. Sometimes it's the little things!!!
Still Hands Down, BEST CHEESESTEAKS I've had ALL YEAR!!! Thanks...
Read moreI ordered a small garlic parm cheesesteak. On the Google maps menu the price is 7.50. I was charged for a larger size at 10.95. The waitress should of told me there wasn't a smaller sub for that sub any more when ordering. They need to post the new menu on google for those that order online & over the phone. She hassled me about the pricing. I had to ask to see the manager & she said you will take him off the grill. He never came to my table instead they yelled back and forth so everyone in the restaurant could here. Coming to a resolution offering the price I showed her online. My sub had 2 bones in the meat. They need to get higher quality meat so no tiny bones are in the meat. I ended up getting sick soon after eating there. It may have been from the warm reusable bottle of mayo. Those bottles get many germs on them from multi customers...
